I'm looking forward to a couple of pints on Sunday after the match. Plenty of choice of places to chose from now aswell.

By the way had my youngest to the bowls alley on Monday, a trip to the winter Gardens and a bit dinner out. Nice little day out

Sounds good love the Winter Gardens and the bowling alley seems to do well.

I hope the cinema has been busy in the school holidays.

Immigrants are to blame for everything, riots are good. He was in the army so he knows stuff (I've just left the Forces after 30 years so most of what he was saying was bollocks!), then told us his ex wife took his kids off him and shes a peadophile and his other kids had been taken off him and he hasn't done anything wrong! My wife was just telling me to be quiet before I called him out on everything and it became a very messy situation! A lovely end to the night
I must have had the same taxi driver a few weeks ago. Or it's common that taxi drivers have their kids taken from them and they are very open about it.

Bizarre

I haven't been to the new cinemas yet but I will do soon enough

Sunderland is now easily just as good as Newcastle for daytime drinking. Other than the Quayside on a sunny day, I can’t think of why I’d want to choose Newcastle over Sunderland at the minute. And I live closer to Newcastle. The added benefit of Sunderland as well is that it’s a smaller centre and more compact so it’s less of a trek to get from one bar to the next. That route from Green Terrace down Low Row, round the Dun Cow, Keel Square and now Sheepfolds (especially when the bridge opens) will be as good as anywhere in the north east imo. And this isn’t even including our beautiful coastline with all its bars and restaurants. Sunderland is honestly underrated.
The other day I walked along the river from town bridge through marina and onto Roker prom. Then along to strollers at Seaburn. Anyone who says Sunderland is a shithole is an utter wanker. Like you say once that bridge opens it will be even better. Be great if could tidy North Bridge street up and hopefully one for the future.

I go to the same places on match days but last week came through and said the the Mrs that Sunderland is a city on the up and once the bridge is built and the new works finished, the film studios get built then it really will be a game changer for the region. As already mentioned, the coastline and surrounding countryside is amazing and adds even more to the area

Went to a Fleetwood Mac tribute in the Fire Station back yard last weekend and was really impressed by the venue. Great atmosphere and just a really nice night.

Curry at the Moti Raj and couple of pints in the Dun Cow to finish off, where people were drinking on outdoor seating. The theatre crowds as the show at the Empire finished just added to the buzz around the place.

This area of town is one of the regions best kept secrets and the Fire Station is a huge asset to the city.

The Culture quarter is quality.

When there's shows/gigs on at the Sunderland Empire/Fire Station/Peacock the same evening the place is buzzing.

Huge lift for our city centre.

Sounds good where abouts bud?
Office is in the Commissioners building. Bloody beautiful.

Any recommendations for coffee around there? Went to Costa today and obviously there's Nero over the market square. But any small independents from Fawcett st to Sunniside in that sort of square area I'm in?

North bridge street and fawcett street
We were up in fife few weeks ago
Some quite picturesque fishing villages but generally little to do or pubs and restaurants
Even at andrews not a great choice
Compared to what we have round here
No comparison
yet some people still thinks it’s flat caps slag heaps Brexit and now riots
