Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Word salad* but despite proving you have lied** about me no apology***
*used disparagingly to deceive the speech of people suffering with logorrhea (nice man)

**haven’t lied

As well as the above slur around mental health, a cursory view of your history shows you often attempt to remotely diagnose mental health problems in other people.

Not being funny, but probably best to just stay away from mentioning mental health to others unless they bring it up first.

Yet Sartori is quoted as saying the money is there for the right players ….

Taken straight from the playbook of Fat Mike Ashley.

Just BS promises and words. same as telling the new manager he could bring in his own backroom staff and all we see is Dodds with his sweaty forehead and greasy, flattened hair smiling inanely while knowing his mate will keep his job safe for him.

If this was the first window where we had a lack of any experienced strikers, you’d be harsh for calling someone a bed wetter or equivalent for getting wound up about this situation.
If it was the second window, even the most positive fans would begin scratching their heads wondering what was going on, reflecting that ultimately, it fucked our chances of promotion the season before last.
Following a third window of no experienced strikers being recruited you’d be forgiven for going on full on mutiny wondering what the fuck is going on as we plummeted down the table narrowly avoiding relegation.
Now that we are mid way through a fourth window in exactly the same position about to start a season with absolutely fuck all up front other than inexperienced kids with ZERO goals to their name and a Ukrainian lad with two, anyone who doesn’t think Speakman should be out on his arse needs mental help.

It’s absolutely indefensible recruitment.

Well he's lying isn't he. Sorry, if the money was there we'd have someone in. Id genuinely be shocked if someone told me they believe otherwise - maybe you're one of them?

There's probably ten strikers who have moved to other clubs in this league that would have been perfectly adequate for us, including players on a free (wages maybe the issue in those cases obviously). And we're a club that those strikers would come in next to decent wingers and a midfield, and be first choice instantly.

And to be clear I'm not saying Speakman is good at his job. But I just think theres obviously no money as well.

Oh I’m as sceptical as anyone and sad as I am I went through the sides in our league who have acquired a striker this summer and it’s actually more than ten!

The daft things is we supposedly spent £2.5m on Rusyn, decent money on Hjelde, money on Mundle, and a few more.

They just seem unwilling to acknowledge the indisputable fact that decent strikers cost a few quid.

I genuinely think there’s a stubborn streak in the hierarchy at the club that are determined to pay relative peanuts for forwards in the forlorn hope they’re going to find the next Ross Stewart.

Listening to Speakman and the rubbish he spouts about strikers I think the problem is more him than owners.

He doesn’t seem to grasp what a decent CF brings to a team.

how many of them would you have wanted here, at the price paid?

Only Asante off the top of my head, and even he’s got drawbacks.

That was clear from the home game against Ipswich last season. We would have smashed them if we had a decent striker. Ipswich invested in their strikers and ensured that a very average side were promoted

They’ve all got drawbacks which is why they’re plying their trade in the championship.

Our need is so great I’d pretty much take any of them. Any striker who can perform the basics would make a huge difference and to state the obvious a good one would be a massive boost.

30 odd thousand SC holders, shirt sales fantastic and sold out away support. Zilch spent

A blind man could see what a decent forward could bring to our team
I was at the talk in last year when he was questioned on it and he was quoting statistics. I fully appreciate you have to adapt to maximise recruitment but he really just doesn’t grasp how a decent CF would improve the team and was quite dismissive of the questions.

If we believe Satori he has said the money is there to buy a strike so therefore, given the past 18 months, and Speakmans arrogance I think this is more on him than the owners.

Spot on. Although I'd just add that I got into a little bit of a verbal back and forth with some posters yesterday as I am just completely skeptical with some of the prices quoted for players that where nowhere near their respective first teams (Hjelde especially).

I think it'll largely be add ons and bonuses based on performances, and the opposition clubs are spinning it it appeases their fans, and we're not disagreeing because it appeases ours too.

I'd also add that Ross Stewart was a total and utter fluke. He'd done next to nowt at St Mirren and beyond his physical size and speed there wasn't really much to go on that he'd turn out class. To me it seemed the idiots in charge seemed to believe it was all very easy and they were cleverer then everyone else, thinking it was a case of just finding others with physical attributes they could turn into talents, hence the disaster of last summer in Hemir etc.

And even if we get one tomorrow, we’re going into the season with effectively one hand tied behind our back, because they won’t be ready to come straight into the team.
