Mayenda is nowhere near ready for Championship football mate.Hemir is undefendable he’s shit.
Mayenda has had a good pre season and looks promising, but can’t be the only option

Ready to play every week no I agree.Mayenda is nowhere near ready for Championship football mate.
He’s barely played is my point.
Mayenda again is not a striker who can lead the line on his own, 0 goals from open play, found his level against Shields mind.Hemir is undefendable he’s shit.

...if we are looking for promotion, we shouldn't be in this situation and looking at 'promise' for a striker mate as our only option at this stage. Bad, bad planning.Ready to play every week no I agree.
There’s a talent in him though and he suits RLB playstyle
Who says they aren’t?If that’s the case then why are they not factoring in the money we’ll make from the departure/s of Clarke/Ekwah/Jobe?
If you accept the players version of events, I actually feel a bit sorry for Speakman over this one - I know I know
Anyway, we shouldn't wait forever and the fact that we'll start the season without a proven striker is simply unforgivable, so there my sympathy ends.
On this part. He moved from war torn Ukraine to Sunderland late. Didn’t get pre season with us so didn’t know the lads etc that’s the first problem. He didn’t speak a word of English, had no one to lean on. Then worrying for the lad his wife and kids were still in Ukraine. Why has he barely played when he was brought in as our experienced striker? (Speakmans words btw).
There were games when we were playing without a striker and there were two sat on the f#cking bench!! Even when he did eventually score, our now assistant manager didn't bother picking him the next game.
They weren't good enough and in Rusyns case, he ls clearly suited to being a wide foward so he was naturally never going to get any real chance, just like he'll likely have very limited opportunities again this season.
It's not even the lads fault. It's inept planning and recruitment by the club.

He finally got them over here and started looking better imo
Like I said, there my sympathy ends.I would have more sympathy for him if Mendy was the only striker in the world, shows again that we have no plan b when it comes to striker recruitment
Eggs in one basket when we are clearly after Ugbo too?Like I said, there my sympathy ends.
Looks seriously like eggs in one basket again which is scandalous and complete incompetence.
Dodds will soon coach that out of himOn the topic of mendy, have yous seen his technique and finishing. Some of it is genuinely unreal ahha
This completely. You can only assure there's problems above his head though. Even the shittest director of football in the world would be able to get a striker in if they had the financial backing to do so. You'd just listen to the agents offering out their players and select on, as we have before.Speakman deserves absolutely no sympathy from anyone over the transfer farce regarding strikers.
Not having at least one competent striker for RLB to call on this weekend is utterly inexcusable.
Every excuse is trotted out but given the amount of time they’ve had to address the issue, none of them hold water.

best of uraguaying youth products incoming.....been waiting 5 yearsYet Sartori is quoted as saying the money is there for the right players ….
Well he's lying isn't he. Sorry, if the money was there we'd have someone in. Id genuinely be shocked if someone told me they believe otherwise - maybe you're one of them?Yet Sartori is quoted as saying the money is there for the right players ….
If.No one knows anything, let's all just chill out until the signing(s) are made.![]()
I suppose it depends if they want 'perfectly adequate' or think they can get something more. We'll likely find out over the month if there is money there or not.Well he's lying isn't he. There's probably ten strikers who have moved to other clubs in this league that would have been perfectly adequate for us, including players on a free (wages maybe the issue in those cases obviously). And we're a club that those strikers would come in next to decent wingers and a midfield, and be first choice instantly.
And to be clear I'm not saying Speakman is good at his job. But I just think theres obviously no money as well.
