Unless money is an issue, there's absolutely no reason to leave Durham for Yakshite.
He still lives in Yorkshire with a young family. That's a fairly compelling reason.

Word has it that apparantly Lancs tried to sign him on loan for the last three games of the season (a bit like the arrangement we had for Kent bound Matt Parkinson last season)

I don’t know what their plan is for him, clearly it isn’t red ball cricket - which is a shame, given the variation he has, he seems an ideal asset for that format. Wouldn’t have minded seeing him last week on Ciderabad.
