He’s a non executive director so is not part of the executive team, has no management responsibility and sits as a board member to give an independent view of running the business. Therefore can give input but does not have any say in decisions made.
So when it comes to Managerial appointments, he has no official say whatsoever.

Dave Jones was directly involved in the decision to not appoint Roy Keane and instead appoint Alex Neil. That’s from Dave Jones himself. So I don’t think he isn’t involved he does have some say.

Nobody is content surely? I’m concerned but not to the point where I’m losing my shit over it. Call me blinkered but I can’t imagine the club are sitting there thinking you know what let’s just leave it a while longer just to piss the supporters off. Our recent forward acquisitions have been sub standard or too young to really expect an impact from. I would imagine they want to get it right this time and that may mean this drags on a bit.

It was glaring how bad we were up front from September onwards last year they failed to address it in January and here we are 9 days from season start and we are still in sane position
A proactive recruitment team woujd if had this sorted start of window but no negligence again

As I said above, as a non exec director he can give views, opinions and recommendations but has no say in the final decisions. The Exec directors can choose to accept or reject that advice etc. Only the Exec directors have the authority to make the final decisions.
