As I’ve said, it’s the lack of balance that is the difference. Some posters on here can have a discussion and give credit where it’s due/stick then it’s warranted.

Others are just relentless moaners and trolls who never have a good word to say about the club they claim to support.

As if they’re not trying to sign one. The mods need to sort this. Always happens. Repeated negativity from the same posters, none about Mendy, same targets, say it once and shut up. Then people defend it, they argue, thread off track and pointless. Just limit posts and stop it being dire. Move Speakman hating posts to Speakman hating threads then we don’t come looking for striker news. A few miseries ruin this place. It’s crap.

Do you think the constant tantrums about the lack of a striker is going to make them sign one faster?

I don't think any posts on here will make any signings happen faster. I don't think any signing suggestion posts will see the scouts suddenly targeting that player. I don't think any negative posts about our embarrassing 2nd half of last season could've helped make those performances better. Might as well shut the board down, eh?

No it's not. The main concern is the same one that's been going in for around 18 f#cking month!

There's been lots of positives talk about the new strips, but let's face it when we're a week off the league kicking off, and we're short of important players to make a difference to the starting 11, while the Head Coach still hasn't been given any new backroom staff, then the negatives are always going to be the main story on here.

If you really don't like, it then don't read the thread. Your contribution is worse than those who are having to repeat the facts, due to the time its taking for the club to pull its finger out of its arse.

We all have our own views mate, football these days is sadly as much as a business as it is football.

KLD should have replaced both Dodds and Proctor at the end of the season. Listening to the pre and post match interviews with Dodds and watching the team under his coaching was abysmal,I don’t think they should be anywhere near the first team if we have any real ambitions this season.

Whilst it’s only pre season and watching every game the Coach doesn’t seem to have made much of an impact. It will be good to see how he sets the side up on Saturday. The point I made in an earlier post, I honestly don’t think any of those players who played against Bradford on Tuesday would get a move to another Championship side or maybe one or two at the very most. The squad remains lop sided and short of quality. We have the nucleus’s of 7 or 8 exceptionally good Championship players after that we are very short.

Cirkin and Hume who are two excellent full backs, for me the cover for them is a particular concern. Alesse and Huggins are both good players but both are injury prone. I think we have both said DCM player remains a priority (Browne best position is not that role) a CH and two CF’s might if the Coach proves to be a good choice we just may challenge for a play off spot.

Surely me owld mucka the balance will come from those that can reasonably articulate why we still have no striker available. It’s more difficult for them these days until Speakman et al can prove otherwise. That isn’t the negative posters fault. I couldn’t care less how negative posters can be, I care a lot that Speakman still hasn’t resolved the striker issue

It has been articulated, for better or worse. Strikers go for a premium, and we operate on low outlay so we can maximize eventual profit on sales.

I’m of the opinion we need to shift a bit on that and have been for some time….but of Cannon/Parrot for 8m is the going rate I can see why they don’t want to. We are apparently being asked for 5m for a 30 year old who is not even training with his club.

They need to sort it out one way or another as that’s their job.

Some posters have a valid concern and you are correct that they will be relieved when we get the striker sorted.

For the worst of the bunch it will just move on to moaning about Dodds, or Speakman, or KLD or lack of kits available, or Le Bris as soon as he loses a couple of games.
