A bit harshly treated for me. I know he didn't make big numbers but he was improving and looked much more fluent under Stokes/McCullum. He also had a few unlucky dismissals as well, I remember Crawley running him out mercilessly in one test!

I thought Lees was unlucky as well, he seemed to really improve under them, In the West Indies the series over there before Stokes and McCullum took over he seemed uptight and afraid to play shots and like you say a lot less fluent.

But once they arrived he looked a better player, thought unlucky to be dropped remember McCullum saying it was really tough decision

I feel sorry for him. Think it was against that world class Indian attack that he cruised to something like 60 odd in no time and looked well set for a century only for Root to run him out?

There were several unlucky dismissals that summer for him and then he was dropped.
 
Stokes said in an interview yesterday he opened so everyone else in the team above him retained their normal batting position, but said a couple came of the bat nicely so he decided to go for it

hes proven he can get on with it too, but if crawley is injured i cant see them calling anyone else up, just play another bowler and have stokes open

We've played 27 and won 17 under Stokes.(27 includes the one off test he did in 2020 we lost to WI)

Whoever's been updating that Wiki entry must be drunk. As we've only won 4 of the last 8 tests :lol:

Given ten tests and only averaged 25 or thereabouts.

Let him stay and make runs for us.

Jennings should be next cab off the rank. Lancs will be relegated without him too.
