Aye fans get carried away and think the current owners and staff are amazing if things are going well, that can all change in weeks after a bad run and they'll be hounding them out.
Not with Mark Ashton. Mind, he's playing with someone else's money, but he's done brilliantly just to get us promoted twice in succession. I don't think many of us fans who take the more realistic view of our prospects will be hounding him or McKenna out if we do a Titanic.

And we certainly won’t do what we’re told either. Appreciate the person in that quote is clearly a bellend mind

Nope. He is class. How many times have you seen him play, just out of interest?
Once in the flesh, and a fair few times on telly.
Not knocking him , he's a good player who more than likely will end up in the premier league.
I just don't think he's 'tore the league up' that's all.

he hasnt but we havent seen a decent player in years so hes been hyped a wee bit

To me, it makes sense for him to give us another year ahead of trying to break into a relegation candidate's side. If he gets to the Prem with us, he's a guaranteed stater.
Yes, if. And even then, the way things are when you are first promoted, he’s still at a relegation candidate just a year later. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to keep him. But premier league thus year versus a possibility next year? No brainer for him I’d have thought.

I think Clarke is a player who needs games and a high % of play. I do worry for him in the PL that a few barren games will see him used as a supersub only. But what do I know, I'm a ginga radgey.

Brighton be ideal for him from a footballing point of view. Would look a million dollars in their team. Could easy see him struggling in a better placed team like West Ham if that makes sense, he needs a load of the ball

We'll see.
