The Raveonettes have a covers album out tomorrow. Not expecting it to be great, but will have a listen in case I'm wrong. There is a decent looking Frank Sidebottom 3 CD boxset out too.

So... weekly review of new stuff I've listened to...
Childish Gambino: very, very good. Shame that Donald Glover has said it's the last album under this name. There's hip-hop, there's pop punk, there's psychedelia, reminds me a little of Prince,
Los Campesinos!: they seem totally reinvigorated. This is Los Camp on steroids. Really, really good.
Kiioto: the new project of Lou Rhodes from Lamb. A little bit folk, a little bit pop, a little bit avante garde, all very good.
Moon Diagrams: solo project of Moses Archuleta, the drummer of Deerhunter. This is very good, woozy psychedelia. Worth seeking out.
Berwyn: the first album proper from the UK rapper/singer. This is an album of very confident and powerful UK R&B.
Bizhiki: Native American chants with ambientish music and sometimes English vocals. Some parts are a little Bon Iver-ish.
Oneida: their 18th album, I think. This is furious, driving rock. Exceptional.
Beachwood Sparks: their first album in 12 years and only the fourth in 25 years. Lovely, slightly retro psych-country.
Album of the week: there's a lot of merit to 4 or 5 of them but I think Oneida shade it. Their album, Childish Gambino and Los Camp all probably in my top 20 for the year, I think.

You didn’t give GUM and Amby a go? Nowhere near as good as Gizzard or the Murlocs but decent enough.
First mention I've seen of either. Unless they come up on Metacritic, in Uncut or on this thread, I won't really know them.

You had it in your new releases list. Ambrose Kenny-Smith is in King Gizzard, and GUM is part of Tame Impala’s touring band.

Love On The Rocks record label released an album to celebrate their ten year anniversary a couple of month ago with new tracks from a few of their artists. A very fun ~50 minute upbeat house album to listen to in the background.

There are new albums tomorrow from Alex Izenberg & the Exiles, Crack Cloud, Cults, Humanist, Ice Spice, Porter Robinson, Rakim, Blur (Live at Wembley), Nathan Bowles Trio, Nightshift, Wand and American Aquarium.
Crack Cloud and Wand top of the list. Had forgotten Cults even existed, enjoyed their debut from *checks* 2011
