Watching this abject Durham display, both bowling and batting, I fear this must be one of the weakest 2nd X1s since the early days of the Academy.I'm beginning to fear that the Academy is no longer regarded as a priority.

I could only see 90 mins play today thanks to the start time being put back an hour and I was speaking to two diehards about this very same thing. It's a major concern that it appears that the cupboard is well and truly bare as far as the 2nds are concerned.

I was there for most of Yorkshires innings and thought Minto looked our best bowler and apparently he is only 16 and bats as well. Hogg and Mcallindon where ok and coming back injuries but look well short of 1st class standard. Personally disappointed with Killeen and Bushnell look like military meduim club bowlers and Gibson bowled like a lad who probably knows his time is up.
Apparently we haven't got a front line spinner either fit or available for 50 over comp and worryingly the 15 year old schoolboy looked our better leggie today.
