A little over 3 weeks to season start....

Is it a mess?
Tidiest it's ever been as it's completely empty, no stock in at all
The OP has a point but those in charge are trying their best. We will start with Hemir or Mayenda I would guess but it would be nice to not throw points away and start the season right up there
Yet every other football team in the country manages to find multiple strikers. Not sure how you can excuse this at this point tbh

....and Speakman still hasn't secured a Championship standard, proven striker.
Three weeks to relocate to the region, settle in, integrate into the new coaches playing style and effectively get to know your teammates. Already a big ask. Pre-season games will soon be lost opportunities to achieve the same too.
Once again, Speakman running out of time and not demonstrating lessons learned from last season.
Scary isn't it.

I don't think it's to early to be concerned at all. Surely if the new coach is bringing in his own back up it would be better if they were working with the players now.
I suspect there will be no new coaching staff anytime soon.

We waste pre-season every year, transfer deals take us an eternity and are usually done at the last minute when we bring in a few loans/free transfers who are not up to speed. Never learn a thing no matter who owns the club, buys the players etc. FTM

The suicide squad have a point on this one. Every season these threads get made during the summer, and more often than not it comes to the first few games and we're not ready, despite people telling us we've 6/5/4/3/2 weeks still.
Which is why Mack it’s so irritating, you would think, the club would want the majority of targets in for pre season. certainly under a new head coach, but most importantly for the start of the season, wanting of course to win on the opening day at Cardiff.

Get someone on loan last couple of days of the window, they have a slight injury which rules them out for a few weeks, then they need a bit of time to get fully fit......before you know it we are in November and 10 points off the play offs.

Problem our recruitment team have is that to get out of this division we are competing with clubs who have parachute payments, or ambitious owners, so we will scrap around desperately hoping for another Ross Stewart signing. Unfortunately, those signings are probably once every 5-6 years.

You, along with one or two others, are losing a point for your inability to read a thread accurately.
A 'proven striker' at 'Championship standard' does not need to have played in the Championship at all. Could be an overseas player or a lower league player. Scouting is key.
The point remains, this should be done and dusted. It's simply not good enough.
Some on here think that going almost 4 years without signing a decent striker is actually good business by the club.
