But if the right player isn't available until 2 weeks?
Do we not wait?
Ross Stewart left September 2023. Have we not waited long enough?

That's long since spent mate, brought in a bunch + wages and increased wages of a few already here. That was used before we even sold him. What about the £10m we got for LND ?

who did we buy ? .... serious question... not taking the p!ssThat's long since spent mate, brought in a bunch + wages and increased wages of a few already here. That was used before we even sold him.
Next to no team will complete there business straight out. With the euros as well it has a knock on effect as players are on longer breaks away before returning to their club sides. Teams need to review their squads before knowledge may come out about who is available. We have players on our preseason for example that will be sold in coming weeks. In an ideal world you would have your business done straight away but there are to many variables involved for that to be the case. If we start the season with no-one in then fair enough concerns should be aired based on our previous windows, but not when we've only really started preseasonIt's been perfectly summed up in the OP. Are we expecting a new player that signs up in 2 weeks time to bed in instantly with, let's be honest, a disjointed side?
Well we signed 4 last summer, which is shocking in itself as none are good enough. I can wait a tad longer for a quality one.Ross Stewart left September 2023. Have we not waited long enough?
2 years is taking the piss man. The ‘these things take time’ and ‘in an ideal world’ narratives don’t stand up to scrutiny when we’ve gone this long without signing adequate strikersIf it was that easy all signings would be made early..it just doesn't work like that though.
I mean we're expecting departures and nee one has left yet
Theyve had long enough to save up for one tbfProven championship strikers don’t come cheap. We have to live within our means.

We all know that but this window hasn't got going really for anyone..if we have to wait a couple of more weeks then so be it..I realise I'll be in the minority but if it takes until the last day of the window to get quality then so be it.2 years is taking the piss man. Let's just wait and see. 3 weeks before the season starts and with the transfer market still pretty stagnant isn't the time to start panicking'Dreamer, you're nothing but a dreamer'
I fear we'll all have our heads in our hands soon enough.
Oh aye, the one who got us out of League One and gave us he 4th most valuable squad in last years championship, that one?Director of Football Operations

What household name would you like to see us sign?I agree, and I'm not sure what we were expecting when we signed those 4 household named proven goal scorers
Bet you don’tClub shop still a mess despite a refurb, ticket office still a joke, no strikers
If things haven’t improved season ticket is getting cancelled. They can keep their direct debit payments.
At this stage I absolutely agree with you but the OP’s point was to ask the question of how the hell has it come to this rather than suggest we panic buyWe all know that but this window hasn't got going really for anyone..if we have to wait a couple of more weeks then so be it..I realise I'll be in the minority but if it takes until the last day of the window to get quality then so be it.

hemir, rusyn, seelt, Bellingham, pembele adil, myenda, trinantis all in summer.who did we buy ? .... serious question... not taking the p!ss![]()
I don't think we'd struggle as I think with a competent head coach we wouldn't have been as bad last season. I don't think we'd be play off hopefuls either thoughI don’t want to Piss on any chips but I feel like we’re gonna struggle unless a couple more decent (I mean first team) players are signed. Striker, centre back, left back needed .. and amad
I think the poster is referring to the fact there are zero adult home shirts in stock - again. Is it a mess?
