well that was sort of what I was thinking as well TBF..Ive no doubt he lived in the north east as a player...but thats not the same as sunderland..
and as chairman doubtless he had a property in sunderland but his family home is in eadestown in co kildare..he has quite deep roots there now...I think he is part of the consortium that owns lawlors hotel-a famous horse racing one-and just bought the johnstown inn..
 

Who says he'll be getting mega money in Saudi? They've only recently announced that they're pulling funds away from their internal game... Will see a fair few of the EU players leave this summer

You’ve already been told he lived in Sunderland twice. Just admit you’re wrong
 
According to french reports "he will make his decision in the coming days" sounds to me like if he wants to come here a deal will be made, so must have had a successful bid

Any off made by a Saudi club is likely to look like Mega money to a player whos played in his football in Ligue 2 mate. Even if they think they're paying him peanuts, it'll be more than what most Championship sides could afford.

i know where he lived whe he was chairman of sunderland..i lived near him..
im sure he ownws property in the sunderland area and dtayed there when working as chairman but his family home wasnt there..I know where it was because I passed it on the road quite regaulrly..
