Regis Le Bris - Backroom Staff

Because everything thing else was ridiculous. I’ve never claimed they wanted him as head coach or didn’t, as I don’t know. It’s that simple.

No you’re not. Just don’t post conspiracy theories as a fact. It’s not hard. It’s fairly simple. Yet here you are unable to grasp it.

You're mental. IMO, of course.

That's no worries, all about opinions.

What I meant by fans' perspective is that they want everything needed now, would a striker, a midfielder and x,y and z have had us in a better position in the league, I would have thought so but that isn't running a business, that's a wishlist without context. Adding fuel to the fire by going over it again and again despite knowing the parameters under which we run was less than helpful and ultimately cost him his job, I think.
but if the aim of the business is a short term one...ie promotion...then the short term requirements become exceptionally important..

You can have as many short term aims as you want but in a competitive sport ran by finance, if you don't provide the budget to accompany it, its entirely unlikely.

They want to go up im sure, but not at any cost and that will be built in to any aim, imo there.

By the sounds of it he inherited a back room staff at L’Orient and he doesn’t seem keen to bring any of them with him. Even the two linked weren’t high profile roles.

In that instance, doesn’t it make sense to start interviewing and try to get candidates everyone is happy with?

If and when Dodds doesn’t get the assistants job, what will the next conspiracy theory be? He’s secretly maneuvering and plotting with Speakman to replace KLD as owner?

well of course but i would say the issue was a confucsion of aims..
you have the short term aim of promotion and the long term aim of only signing veryyoung players..
those aims are mutually exclusive..finance isnt the issue there really..

I reckon there won’t be any conspiracy theory IF Dodds doesn’t get the AM job but a huge sigh of relief.

I agree with a lot of that and would like them to further clarify recruitment with the first 11, whatever their aim.

I wouldn't say they were mutually exclusive as the season before last proved.

And finance is always the issue, it pretty much dictates an aim, if it wasn't an issue then we could buy our way up.

I believe that promotion is not the short term aim but long term.
Le Bris said in an interview that they need to see how things pan out (tactics and how long the players need to implement them) before they can realise there long term goals. He seemed to say there were a lot of things that need to be implemented (not only tactics) before the long term goal (promotion) can be achieved and that he had no timescale how long it would take.

KLD said its the shiort term aim and indeed they fored head coaches for not achieving it..

So am i right in assuming, no assistants to Bris have been confirmed!

So am I right in assuming, no news about experienced strikers, midfield or CBs

So SNAFU or FUBAR?

First pre season game weekend. You just nar dodds is going to be sitting there as assistant manager. And still no striker or CDM.

Well I will be shocked if we haven't resolved all issues by the time that crucial first game of pre season comes round.
