Well yes, think scepticism on that is fair.

Maric is an extremely experienced technical director that has worked at a high level, with very strong and unbending principles on tactics. The scope for butting up with Speakman was clear and an attraction, but I mean also makes you question how advanced it really ever.

Hit the nail on the head. We need to appoint RLB because nobody else wants the job. In truth it’s no different than us giving Graeme Murty the job.

Think, as another poster says, we don’t have any concrete evidence Maric was that close.

But if true, it was silly.

Over recent years Reims are a team who are expected to be top half or maybe pushing for Europe and Still had a 38% win record, Lorient are expected to be around the relegation zone if not actually relegated and he’s got a 30% win record.

A good chunk of the reason Still got media attention was the exceptional run he went on one season. If you take that out he really hasn’t done much more than expected of Reims.

My agenda? 🤣 I don't like Beale he was awful on the field and in interviews, he managed one of the top teams in SPL which should have inflated his win percentage but its still less than 30% and I'd rather have anyone in than him. It's an opinion which I know people struggle to accept others having a differing one than themselves, not everyone has agendas

The other lad is trying to pass it off as fact that we haven’t though by using a play on words. That’s the point. No-one knows the real ins and outs of the deal however the club are quite clearly leaking positive spin to their chosen media which many also choose to lap up as fact as well despite a clear recent history of deception.
