Regis le Bris - confirmed

Aye, aplogies 10, but anyway same question you for or against Reggsy?
No worries you aren’t the first and won’t be the last to do that

I really wanted Still and when you compare this bloke to him and take into account the difference between Reims and Lorient their records are similar so I’m for him. Yes relegation on the face of it isn’t great but seems to be lots of other stuff going on there. Plus a key factor for me is he seems to play some good football so I prefer him over someone like Rosenior.

MB didn't work out but he wasn't given a fair crack from the fans from the start.

The owners have said they have learned and are going to make changes. So far that's appeared to be happening and it needs everyone to get behind them, even if we don't have a great start to the season.

I suppose we have it like most club. Their fans are geat when it's going well, however we are the pits when things are going against us.

Young and learning? Yes. To stay he's a novice even after 2 years of running the club is wrong.

Do you know why he quit the course? I have no degree yet I've managed people with business degrees who ain't got a clue.
He is quite clearly a novice by any definition. Having a father involved in football who died when he was a child in no way makes him experienced. He also hasn’t got any academic credentials (whether you place store in them or not). He has no qualifications for this role other than a bank account which meets the owners’s test.

We have to back him 10sy.

There records aren’t really similar are they? Still averages about 10 points a season more and is way younger.
If you take out the first 10 games which were exceptional his record is awful. Seems there were some mitigations but even so.

this appointment is massively under whelming after months of searching and being turned down, dont think we had much other option to get this guy as we’ve been turned down left right and centre and by the look of it no one else wants the job ; can’t see him doing much but we can only give him a chance , if this fails with speakmans summer signings he has to be next to go

Yes, in retrospect, that would have been an exciting dice roll. I’m all for Still, but once they passed up on another great opportunity, they had to make sure they landed Still.

It’s clownish tbh. Should have stuck with the bird in the hand.
That’s assuming you believe Maric was actually a done deal.

Still…you can possibly include Rosenior as he withdrew but wasn’t offered the job…who else turned us down?

Where's the proof we've been turned down left right and centre? We've heard whispers that people are no longer in the running but not a single person is quoted as saying there were no longer interested.

Unless I have missed all those quotes?

Genuinely don’t know haha. As we all know, Will Still was offered the job, was presented with a contract and chose not to sign it in favour of going to Lens, before Still came about we had a verbal agreement with Maric, but moving for Still after him and then Kompany going to Bayern changed that.

They are the only 2 who I know would have been offered the job before Le Bris.

Everything else is just pure speculation.

Doesn’t matter anyway now. Hope they make the announcement quickly and get on with signing players.

A few posters said at the time we were making an error losing somebody we were happy with to take a punt on somebody who had just taken mutual termination suddenly. It was quite likely we would end up with neither

At what stage do you go from a novice to experienced? What is YOUR defined timescale?
