Regis le Bris - confirmed

So let's step back and look at the bigger picture.

His ppm at the development side level was 1.51. that probably for the side he was managing makes him a very similar candidate to Jansen, Maric and a couple of the others that we were supposed to be in for.

He has achieved in a league at a higher level than our own, and against some really decent sides.

Even in relegation, there would be lessons learned that other candidates will have not learned, like Lampard, and never underestimate that, but by definition he's probably no worse than Heck, who did not succeed in a top flight, and has performed at a higher level than Rosenior.

His record in France isn't massively different to Still, and he is the second coming.

The proof in the pudding is how we ultimately perform. I remember when Wenger first came to Arsenal, there was uproar at his record and where he came from. And yet he revolutionised that club.

I think it's fair to say some of the players may well fit his style of play, like Ba, and possibly O'Nein, but if a mixing up.of the coaching structure includes a fitness coach and a free kick specialist, let's judge as we see.

Really, he has as much chance at succeeding as any other candidate, but if given support then let's just hope for the best.
It’s an interesting one, that’s for sure. I’ve never heard of the lad (I also hadn’t of Jansen or Maric) so no preconceptions here. I’m preparing myself to be pleasantly surprised and if not, at least we’ve tried something different

You can always find positives. We did the same when we appointed Howard Wilkinson. You can butter it up all you like, it's yet another uninspiring appointment.

That’s it for me too. It’s different. I feel like the ceiling will be higher but also won’t be shocked if he’s gone by October.

I wouldn't personally, no. Didn't show anything.
Putting the relegation to one side. This manager has shown very limited positive evidence. His first season was alright, fell away after a blistering start.

His inability to make the break through to land a head coach role till his mid/late 40s is a cause for concern.

Good managers can get relegated, for sure. But what positive evidence is there of this new head coach?
Do some research on him. You will see he was actually doing well, 2nd in Ligue 1, beating PSG 3-1 then having his best players sold including his top scorer. Is it any surprise it turned to shit?

Played 5 at the back. A familiar method throughout I thought
Yes we did a few times at the end of the season. I mean he changed it up for that game.

I dont think game was indicative of his style, because we didn’t play like that really at any other time during the season. Maybe Leeds away

I said up thread, I can’t think of what a “Dodds” system goal was. Whereas I know what a textbook de zerbi goal is for instance

Didn’t realise he’d been applying and not getting gigs for 20 year
