So let's step back and look at the bigger picture.
His ppm at the development side level was 1.51. that probably for the side he was managing makes him a very similar candidate to Jansen, Maric and a couple of the others that we were supposed to be in for.
He has achieved in a league at a higher level than our own, and against some really decent sides.
Even in relegation, there would be lessons learned that other candidates will have not learned, like Lampard, and never underestimate that, but by definition he's probably no worse than Heck, who did not succeed in a top flight, and has performed at a higher level than Rosenior.
His record in France isn't massively different to Still, and he is the second coming.
The proof in the pudding is how we ultimately perform. I remember when Wenger first came to Arsenal, there was uproar at his record and where he came from. And yet he revolutionised that club.
I think it's fair to say some of the players may well fit his style of play, like Ba, and possibly O'Nein, but if a mixing up.of the coaching structure includes a fitness coach and a free kick specialist, let's judge as we see.
Really, he has as much chance at succeeding as any other candidate, but if given support then let's just hope for the best.
