I agree. He asked for his release last season which they refused. There contracts must be different because here he would have just resigned to be released.

Not officially but Romano going into specifics on twitter so he must be close. Also says there will be a major restructure of the coaching staff.

That will really tell us a lot more about where we are headed.

If our best players leave and are replaced with more bairns looking for a fresh start I think we can only expect to struggle.

If we hold on to most, and add some experience/goals it could be looking up again very quickly.

Completely agreed. Its likely one or two will leave but we have to replace smarter than our deals over the last 18 months, they have to be that bit more ready and have more to offer from the off because too many of the previous signings are still work in progress.

Most of the names linked were a huge gamble tbf which is why I was more interested in style of play and looking for signs of progress elsewhere in terms of who comes with them etc.

Because that's the market that the owner wanted to shop in.

Agree completely. There’s none of the last batch that I’m confident can kick on so any of the prior recruits being moved on is going backwards.

We may not be able to stop one or two from going, but it needs to be minimized and incomings need to be ready to hit the ground running.

Hitting the ground running means a return to hiring UK based lads again imo. Hopefully that's one of the lessons learned.

Of course but most of the others had some seeds of hope to cling on to. Still was incredibly young for example.
Iv never heard of this lad and he could be great but on the face of it I can’t see any reason why he has got the job.

Because he was prepared to accept the wierd conditions.

Whoever he is hopefully he can persuade Rigg and Neil to sign on
