Normally means about to happen, immediate or impending. Think KLD should get someone to proof-read his statements before delivering them.

You probably should have read the entire statement, not just that word.

Also, the word "imminent" is contextual.

If you have the runs and find yourself in imminent danger of shitting your pants, then sure, it could happen any minute, maybe any second.

If the Yellowstone supervolcano were in imminent danger of erupting, it might happen in the next few thousand years.

TL;DR - Don't get hung up on a single word of a statement. Especially not when written by someone whose primary language isn't even English.
