Your Durham Xl to start T20 campaign.

I would think it would be up to Stoked if he felt he would benefit from playing he would play.

That was my thinking really, it’s a long time between now and the Essex game and then a long time from the Essex game to the First Test to not be playing any competitive cricket.

Obviously I get that it’s a different format with sometimes different skill sets, but personally I’d think a handful of T20 games would be the best way to keep his fitness and match sharpness ready for Essex and West Indies.

He won't be happy with that. He's moaning about too much cricket as it is.

As an ex pro at a far harder game (physically) I find this absolutely absurd that a cricketer can pull this line out. Cricket is probably one of the least demanding sports that’s mainstream in the uk. Slightly caveated if you’re a fast bowler but even then it’s not that physically demanding.

Anyone's Blast season ticket/card/ membership come? Bought mine months ago and still haven't got it.
Nope, i emailed them a couple days ago and was told they were being posted out for delivery by Thursday at the latest.

I do sometimes wonder if the DCCC ticket office is ran by the same people as SAFC

That is an awful take mind.

You'd also think the club would want him there as much a s possible, how many more would go to see him
I’m not too overawed by that team. It looks a lot weaker than last year.
quite the drop off from last years team

No Salt, Buttler, Mitchell, Hartley, Livingstone and De Grandholme

It’s not just the physical demands of cricket which make it a difficult job to do though.

The time spent away from family whilst being a professional (especially international) cricketer probably makes it one of the least family friendly jobs in world sport.

How?

Agree however many professional sports people live away from family during the season. You don’t move your family for a two year contract.

You said fast bowling "isn't that physically demanding". It's one of the most physically demanding things you can do in sport. This article is an interesting read:

No I actually said fast bowling excluded. Read my original post.
