Jermaine Jeans sacked his agent on a Monday and signed with a new agency the same day, Wednesday of the same week he signed for Newcastle for x million. It was later revealed that that agent was funded by Big Sam, Peter Reid and none other than Bobby Robson, I think it may have been Big Sam's son. My point being is it doesn't matter when he signed up to the agency, they may be the company that gets him the best deal.
