CC : Lancashire v Durham

This has been very poor stuff since tea yesterday. About as bad as I've seen in many years. I was satisfied to see how things wouod go after the last game but the last 24 hours really has me concerned with a few things. Captaincy and bowling the main concerns.

Stokes has slightly changed his run up, he's not ducking in as much in his delivery stride. I wonder if it's a slight remodel to take the pressure off the knee.

I don't have any particularly hard feelings against Jennings, it was disappointing that he left when he did but he's a professional sportsman.

He's played very well in this match, lancs would have been nowhere without him and Lyon.

However this game turns out I still think we're the better team, but our bowqling is developing into a concern. I've been blaming flat dead pitches so far but that excuse can't carry on for ever.

Left the game for a few minutes to watch the end of the Formula 1 race.

I'm glad in that time we got Jennings. Been an absolute thorn for us in this game.

I wonder if Stokes playing hampers us from a perspective that regulars in the side come off a few % from their usual standards
