Well you can as Jones has found out. Borthwick isn't producing the goods with the bat and when you don't, you should be dropped. No room for sentiment, captain or not. You need to produce.. 16, 7, 0 is not good enough

They won't drop the skipper after a couple of games but he has looked a shadow of the player he was in his first stint at the club.

Absolutely. If players aren't producing the goods, then out you go. Same in football, if a striker isn't scoring goals then get him dropped.
