Forthcoming gigs.

Probably. Had no idea there were 2 versions. I just looked up Beat setlists yesterday and was confused that they somehow played Ohio and Portsmouth on March 30 - Phil Collins / Live Aid vibes
Have you ever seen the Brian Pern series?

Never heard of it but the cast list (and guests) looks great. Good? Will have to see if I can access it over here. Cheers

It's patchy but has some brilliant moments. Not sure why they went after Gabriel/Genesis in such a merciless way, but he has a cracking cameo in it so apparently no hard feelings!

It would be intriguing to see them do a 'twin headliners' tour together. Alternating every night.
Don't know what the UK version sounds like, but I have to say Wakeling (and the band) sounded excellent last night and good banter as well. Very good value. Adam Ant was actually excellent as well - I forgot how many well-known songs he had back when I was a kid. Looked him up today and it's almost hard to get how big he was but for such a relatively short time in the UK - something like 10 top-10 singles and 3 number ones, but all in a shade under 3 years (80-83). Only negative for him last night was I felt worried for him moving around. He looked a bit unsteady on his feet and I think people would be fine with him just standing and singing - we all know he's pushing 70. He's intent on still doing his spins and that and it was a little heart in mouth every time, bless him.

Tom Meighan in Hartlepool tonight, acoustic gig at The Studio - never been before assume its quite a small venue?
Went to see the casbah club there many years ago. Was an offshot of big country with Bruce Foxton on bass ,and a famous singers brother who was lead singer, Simon summit or other I think,Townshend just came to me

Dry cleaning tomorrow at the Grove. Haven’t been to the Grove but have walked past it a few times on my way to two by two taproom. Couple of pints in there and just round the corner for the gig.
I had to leave it late to see if I could make it and when I knew I could it had sold out. So I'm off to see John Cooper Clarke instead.

Straight over the road through the carpark. They don't seem to use the entrance on St Michael's.
