Disney world Florida

It’s true like the food at Disney is the worst thing about it. Everything is brown. Or fried. Great for 3/4 days but fuck me you start craving vegetables 😂 then you see all the fat yanks on the mobility scooters and it all makes sense. It’s f***ing hideous the state of those lot. Food aside it’s a fabulous holiday like.
Only if you stick to Quick Serve (i.e. fast food). If you go to table service places, the food is really good.

Not sure I fancy paying ANOTHER £2000 on top of the £2500 extra I'd already be paying to get 1 TS meal per day though.
Suddenly makes no sense at all.
It's all the HS, CBR etc abbreviations that do my head in and seems like you have to revise for a test to know what any of it means. I'm taking mine this year but only going for one day. Cant imagine 2 weeks of that
Carribean Beach Resort hotel
Hollywood Studios
TS - Table Service
QS - Quick Service (fast food)

Only using them when typing though, not when actually talking.

Are you going to Orlando? One day? Which of the 4 main parks and 2 water parks are you planning to scratch the surface of, then come home saying it was shit because you didn't know about 90% of the things that were available?

Sorry. 😂

It's nowhere near that much extra.

Just checked my upgrade fee from 2020 and it was £620 upgrade fee for 2 adults and 3 kids under 9.

Oh, ok.
I was going by the difference between buying the basic vs moderate dining plan on the current prices. £2,600 vs £4000 - so £1400 difference, not 2k like I said. Still, its £4000 more than the hotel we planned to stay at, which seems to not make sense really. Especially as that hotel has free breakfast and afternoon snacks.

Maybe it's changed recently.

Last time we paid £5600 for two weeks at CBR including park tickets and full Disney dining.

Got loads of character meals, including Cinderella's castle and still had credits left on the last day.

£11,500 at the moment, before any discount for dining plans !! (not including flights, but including park tickets)

Looks like it would be about £2500 at this place judging by their summer 2024 pricing - nothing released for easter 2025 yet so can't be sure. Add £2650 for park tickets (jesus christ!!!) - £5,150 total (plus flights, food, spends etc)

So staying on-site has doubled in 4 years and they charge you for fast passes now too.

I doubt I'll ever be back.

I used to take me lad most years from when he was 8 until around 15. I'd hate to think what the cost would be for 2 weeks on int drive then hire car and the passes. I always paid around 2 to 3 k then the same in spends but it'll probs be nearly triple that these days.

I can't currently find the ad-on for the 14day ticket to pre-add Genie+, I heard it was about £10 per day per person. So another £700 !

But yeah, prices rocketed these last 3-5 years. Its why we've not been back, but eldest will be 10, and twins will be almost 6, so its a great time to go I think. It'll be a one-time thing though.

ha, and they've blocked the standard rooms at CBR and also put a blockout date on Easter.
Oh well, that's deffo not happening then

Yeah, I'll be worth it for the memories as there's nowhere else comparable for young kids really.

Mine are at the age now where they're not bothered about character meets anymore and that was what they loved the most.

They are absolutely brilliant :)
That's why DLP can be a great alternative - price per day doesn't stand up, but its a quarter of the cost to go for enough time for the kids to make the same memories.

Yeah, we went there with them a few times too. It was really cheap at the time, stupidly so, thinking back.

Mrs wants to go with the kids.I'd rather start supporting the toon.

How much for 10 days?

*Watch I'll end up going
Disneyworld?

£500pp for a two week ticket for all parks.

Anything on top of that depends on your budget. You can stay on I drive for next to nowt and eat mcd pizza every night.

Or you can get a villa and drive in.

Or stay on site. Or somewhere close to site like PTR mentioned.

2 grand all in for 2 weeks including flights and hotels?

Sounds cheap

Fights, hotels etc are on top and prices massively, so it depends on what you want.

Direct flights from Newcastle are about £400pp outside of school holidays. Hotels can be very cheap for somewhere basic.

The Disney passes are going to cost about £500pp regardless though

That's very interesting.
We're planning to go Easter 2025 and haven't decided on hotels yet. We do have one in mind - newly refurbed, no resort fee, free afternoon hot food, snacks and even cocktails - next to Disney Springs with 30min hopper busses to the parks. But not sure on how best to sort a deal out this far in advance.

But always fancied the Port Orleans hotel.....
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last August for ten nights.

We used Port Orleans French Quarter pool a couple of times.

Both fantastic hotels but in our opinion neither are hotels for young children. Our youngest was two and oldest was six.

Neither hotel have any evening entertainment and staying on Disney is a bit restricting.

Unless we come into some cash we won't be staying in Disney again.

CBR is fantastic for kids. The theming is great and they have movies under the stars etc on a night.

AOA is good for kids too if you can live with a value.
I'm not a creep or a loser.
Weirdo. ;-)
