I’ve not had a go at anyone who isn’t renewing. This moron decided to have a go at me for renewing. Calling me a “mug” and “thick” for doing so.

Go back through this thread and you mentioned name calling first not me , when it comes to support if you wanna criticise mind over the past 35 year that’s not a problem as I know mine likely pisses all over yours (albeit age depending),my opinion now is that as of this season

Lets be honest if anyone is buying a season ticket for next season then you have to either be desperate for something to do or genuinely thick as f**k.

I am neither and will renew. It appears you are another one who falls into the category of Sunderland till I die or lose a few games. On second thoughts just go. The club will survive without you.

I have had a season card for 20 years and got one as soon as I returned to the North East. I went to my first game in 1969 and attended many, many games until I moved away in 1990.
I have had the same seat for 18 years and have made good friendships with people me who have also supported the club for many years. They have seen my kids grow up, and vice versa. We are loyal supporters, not glory hunters, who support our club and obviously hope for success.
SAFC is the club for us, and we will decide when to call it a day, be it under this ownership or the next.
It has never been easy supporting SAFC, but I have learned to tolerate the bad times and enjoy the good.

I have no problem with anyone wanting to renew, I guess they have their reasons.
Personally I think it would be better to wait until the summer they you will have a better idea of what you are renewing for.

Baffled by some of the comments in here about not renewing. Fair enough it's your choice but some people have a short memory.

The same people running our club got us from league one to championship and championship playoff semi final last season.

This season has been a shambles, extremely frustrating and disappointing as the club broke up a squad of players that were a tight-knit group and took a gamble on replacing them with youth which has completely backfired along with their managerial decisions.

We can only hope they've learnt their lesson and that next season serious changes will be made to the model and the way the club is run.

I would pay to watch Sunderland if they were in the Wearside league. I am happy with the cost and consider it decent value for 23 days out with an extended group of friends. Hope this helps.

Judging by the comments from the latest meeting with the fans groups they’ve learnt fuck all and still have the arrogance of knowing better than battle hardened fans.

There is no suggestion things will change in the summer or next season.

We've had two good seasons, 1 bad season and the other half a season was not bad considering they arrived at the club in December/January/February that season.

Can't just throw toys out the pram because this season hasn't been a patch on last season.

Will most likely finish around where we are now. By no means happy but it'll give them a wake up call that if they want to get promoted to the premier league then they need to do a lot better.

We have a very young group of players who will get better. I reckon for e.g. we have better players than say Blackburn. How many natural defenders were in our starting back four today?

How many would have been playing there if we had a fully fit squad?

I wrote the season off as a dud about a month ago and the games are just days out now. Still doing Leeds, WBA and Watford mind and enjoyed Cardiff immensley. I suspect those who moaned about the tickets at Hull and Rotherham will not be doing any of those games mind as given our form they are all likely to go down to season ticket holders. When they said they wanted to go to away games but can't get tickets, they didn't mean THOSE away games did they?
