Why is life just absolutely shit

Never felt so lost, directionless and alone in my whole life. 35 years just to get to this point. What an absolute waste of time that has been. What was the point of it. May as well not have been here.

Yeah that’s it, be very hard. I want my parents to enjoy their retirement too and not burden them with anything. Christ I think it would break them if they could see how I felt.

Yeah and the whole having loads of mates, finding a partner thing is just completely alien to me. I'm just not wired like that. Very few people I really connect with and they all live in other parts of the country and have their own lives. Really is tough.

You too though mate. Always up for a chat if you need it

All these people mentioned love you and care for you. Appreciate you may not be able to tell them how you feel in real life, especially with the bairns.

Imagine though. Imagine you did tell them. Imagine their face and voices as they tell you they're with you and everything will be ok. Imagine them hugging you if they're huggy people or whatever their characteristics are - imaging them making you a cuppa, imagine them cracking a joke etc. Think of the good things you've been through together.

That's a useful form of grounding to help bring your thoughts back to the present and lessen the negative thoughts.

100% same mate yeah. Exact same scenario. I used to find some sort of strange comfort in knowing others were feeling similar things, not anymore sorry. I just can’t imagine life is designed to be this bad feeling the whole time. I feel like I’m watching from the outside at people enjoying their life, almost like the trueman show or something

My 11 year old knows something is up. She's not daft and she can tell I'm not right. Makes me feel really guilty. She has started making the cuppas as well. I hate that I'm crap at hiding it, our lass is a much better actress than me.

I'm scared they'll either wash their hands of me or not believe if I tell them everything. Like there's a group I go on random trips abroad with and a couple of lasses I really get on with (in a just friends way and anyway the one I like the most is sorted in that regard, but that's by the by) and they're going to Milan in May. Definitely want to go but if I sound too keen they'll probably think I've made everything up about my mental health

Most people are canny mate. I can almost guarantee this is just irrational thoughts on your part. Absolutely say you want to go, people don’t think about it in as much depth as you think. They’ll be happy to have you there.
