Michelin Star Restaurants

I was looking at the Angels menu this week as they are having a reduced cost three courses for a couple of nights. I keep forget about trying to book Scholars. Have you been to The Three Fishes (Nigel Haworth’s place)? They have a £39 four course midweek option currently running.
Angels regularly have midweek specials, just register to get emails when they are on, well worth it.
Scholars is very popular so may have to book well in advance.
I didn't realise that Three Fishes was open again, I will definitely have a look, cheers.

You can get a star, don't put yourself down.
"A Michelin Star is awarded for the food on the plate – nothing else. The style of a restaurant and its degree of formality or informality have no bearing whatsoever on the award."
- from Michelin.

And congrats on the Bib Gourmand.
They say this, but unless it's politically useful for them as an organisation, it is simply not the case that it's just about the food.

We had a return visit to the White Swan at Fence last night and it was probably even better than our previous meal. The price has increased to £65 per person for Dinner on Tuesday to Thursday but it is still excellent value.

We are booked in at the Barn at Moor Hall in May. The prices are rather more palatable for the single star restaurant than its two star big brother next door.
I think £150 per head is a bit too much like. Maybe a special occasion. £200 for me and our lass with a couple of drinks is my limit really, but I want to be like a busted couch afterwards.

Keep thinking I'd like to try going to one someone. Loads do those taster menus though and I'm a right picky twat, I usually find about 3 or 4 of the 8 meals I would feckin hate as they'd have shit that lived in water or mushrooms in them

That's the problem I have as a fussy twat. If you like Indian food and get to London anytime I'd recommend Gymkhana. It's about £100 to £115 for tasting menus which is reasonable for a Michelin star restaurant in the middle of Mayfair. The food is tremendous.

A lot of the ones down here have decent lunch deals. It's a limited menu but you can often get 3 courses for under £50.

Having said that, I'm not a mushroom fan but have had some fantastic mushroom dishes in Michelin starred places.

Sounds good but I'm not in London that much. I'm heading there next month but it'll be mostly drinking and cheap food with about 8 of us heading there to see Underworld at Alexandra Palace.

Guessing the prices might go up a bit since it got its second star. Would highly recommend though, the amount of food you get for the price is ridiculous.
