Anyone else?

You can guarantee we'll not sell any of our players early in summer like cov, southampton did so weve not no time to put together a decent team. Ballard & clarke will leave on deadline day leaving us no time to bring in replacements

Not saying he hasnt. But why hasnt he went by now?
You did say he hasn’t! But not to Labour over that point he’s here because he’s our key player contracted until 2026 and we didn’t want to sell for below £20m. Plus he’s happy here.

Anyone else not excited by the thought of 40M + coming into the coffers in the summer from the sales of Clarke and Ballard?

Burnley built an unreal squad last season from money generated from player sales, spent around 35m in total and walked the league.

Heartbroken as the next fella but every cloud and that.
Heartbroken at something that hasn’t happened 😂😂😂😂

Ok. So if he's happy here why are people saying hed going next season? Money talks, anyone PL club interested would have had him away if they wanted him enough. Simple as that

No way will we get £40m for two players. By the time Spurs get thrmeir cut from Clarke it won't be such a windfall.

Speakman with £40m , that's around 27 players with most "attacking midfielders/wide players" preferably from France anda soon injured left back.

Nothing excites me about safc no more !

The thing is, whilst it potentially is extremely exciting, Burnley had a stronger base than us when they were relegated and had huge coffers to offer wages, something that is holding us back hugely.

Let's say they both go and we've got 40 million there, there's a worry for me that we get ran out of town when bidding for players. We'll be too cute with transfers, lose out on players.

You already need 3 first team players without losing those two, add two more, it's gonna have to be a perfectly cast window.

Because we’re the first club he’s played for every week and been adored at. If they’d valued him at £20m plus you’re absolutely right he’d have been off. There’ll be offers in that ballpark this summer. We’ve already knocked back offers up to £15m for him. He’s one year closer to the end of a contract. He’s going this summer
