Where do you get fourty million from? If that much did come in, we would be lucky to see five or six spent on the team.

I’m interested to know what this is based on. The Stewart situation? The general transfer business? The overall transfer spend? The ballpark of transfer fees we’ve spend generally?

Previous transfer windows. Already got Clarke replacement and Ballards too.

10-15m agree. How much do we get. Maybe two thirds? The rest will go to spurs.

Ballard maybe get 5-6m.

So we end up with 15m, no doubt paid in installments.

Mights see a 3-4m spent on players who won't be as good as Clarke or Ballard.

The model is only going to get us out of the championship in one direction unless its seriously amended

25 nearer the proper value at the most.
 
I can see Patterson going to a big 6 club as second/third choice keeper. There is not many English goalkeepers under the age of 25 around, and the big 6 clubs are always needing to ensure they remain within the English quota, hence why Lee Grant spent time at Man United and Scott Carson at Man City.

I think Clarke will go to a club like Brentford or Palace.

Ballard linked to Everton and I can see why, I think that could well happen.

I think we will keep Dan Neil. He (wrongly IMO) doesn't acquire as much hype as other young midfielders, namely Hackney and Gray. So I think he will stay, but he is as premier league ready as Clarke if not more IMO.

He was happy here when we seemed to have a direction of travel, and a coach that helped his developement and believed in him.

He has got neither of those things anymore.

I wouldnt blame the lad for walking to another club that offered that, and fuck what the fee to us was.

All of the fuck ups that the ownership have made recently are going to bite us on the arse, and previously loyal players wanting away at any cost is going to be one of them.

And I don't blame them if they do atm tbh.
