Couldn't give a shite to what other fan bases call them be honest. Pretty sure this kind of stuff goes on Country wide with sides that are close to each other geographically but don't have an actual local rivalry. Call it an endearing term of affection on our part or whatever you want but it still isn't a Derby for me and never will be.Do you think any other fanbase other than us and the mags call them that on the level we do?
There’s only one derby for safc and that’s the magsIt's a derby. Just because it isn't Newcastle doesn't change that
Except when they won the league cup and got to a major European final, both within the last 20 yearsBoro wish they were us, always in our shadow.
Fair enough mate. I've been to boro away and home many times and in my opinion it deffo has more of an edge than 'normal' gamesCouldn't give a shite to what other fan bases call them be honest. I'm a wierdo? You're a Seaham mutant man.Weirdo.
At least we talk properly
FA Cup > League cup.Except when they won the league cup and got to a major European final, both within the last 20 years
I'll assume the 2nd one is jestFA Cup > League cup.
Papa Johns > losing European final.
My take on it (said on here a few times) is I'd say SOME Boro fans think of it as a 'derby' because you're the nearest club to us (on a similar level), but obviously you're closer to Newcastle than us - a lot of your respective fans will work together, drink in same pubs and in some cases be in the same families, so your matches against them are bound to mean a LOT more. What are your thoughts @seahamstar
Wouldn't be a thread without glorifying Sunderland. Jesus Christ, almost as deluded as the Geordies.Boro wish they were us, always in our shadow.
