The Seagulls

Perched on the top of the away section in the North Stand watching the last 10 minutes. Cheeky sods.
They were in the stands after the F/T whistle looking for food.
Surprised the club haven’t started to charge an entrance fee. Maybe they have! That might explain the inflated attendance figures of late.

Usually don't arrive en masse until about the 80th minute but they all rocked up about 25 minutes in today. Could only assume they thought it was an early kick off.

Quite bizarre from them

Probably been another incident in Roker and word got around
They hovered in quite low in the North Stand. Luckily I didn't see anyone getting crapped on.

Reached row ten of the premier concourse.

The Rivers and Lakes around here are populated by Cormorants.
Never saw that as a kid and we are the most central area away from any coastline.
🤣🤣🤣 most central area away from any coastline 🤣🤣🤣

The closest coast to Swindon is 30 miles. Huge areas of England are further away from the coast whilst the closest coast to areas around Leicester and Nottingham is over 70 miles.

Mind you, I can understand your comments about cormorants! They are getting further up rivers and destroying fish stocks. Anywhere close to the Thames estuary east of Isle of Dogs is rammed with them and they have huge appetites!

They can tell there is a game on and know pretty much from experience how long it will take so turn up at the end for the left over food. Very clever birds.
This is true. They are not necessarily clever in the bird realm, but all birds have inbuilt navigation aids that take them back to easy food locations. Doesn’t take much for them to instinctively know that where there are large groups of humans, shortly afterwards there will be large amounts of food scraps.

You are the Bird Whisperer like

When you do finally play us at the SOL again we'll be able to spot you as the one hand feeding seagulls

NB coins and vapes are banned but mealworms are permitted in the North Stand Upper

Were flying over the SOL in small numbers during the 1st half. Returned in the 2nd half in much larger numbers. They must have been on a recruitment drive.
