Surprised the club haven’t started to charge an entrance fee. Maybe they have! That might explain the inflated attendance figures of late.

The closest coast to Swindon is 30 miles. Huge areas of England are further away from the coast whilst the closest coast to areas around Leicester and Nottingham is over 70 miles.

Mind you, I can understand your comments about cormorants! They are getting further up rivers and destroying fish stocks. Anywhere close to the Thames estuary east of Isle of Dogs is rammed with them and they have huge appetites!

This is true. They are not necessarily clever in the bird realm, but all birds have inbuilt navigation aids that take them back to easy food locations. Doesn’t take much for them to instinctively know that where there are large groups of humans, shortly afterwards there will be large amounts of food scraps.

NB coins and vapes are banned but mealworms are permitted in the North Stand Upper
 
Were flying over the SOL in small numbers during the 1st half. Returned in the 2nd half in much larger numbers. They must have been on a recruitment drive.
