I've had to check everything to see if you were right and you are!!
They've only been open a month and they're resorting to desperate measures already putting 50% off their food and doing Sunday roasts. Some fine dining that is.
But yeah Stonegate's situation summarises the hospitality situation and you're stupid as an oaf to suggest otherwise - When you have The Borough, The Chesters and The Board Inn and you find yourself 2.6 billion in debt that's not the establishments. That's debts they've racked up since Day 1 of COVID, all they've had help wise over lockdown is business grants which doesn't even cover the out of date kegs they've had to pour out, still paying business tax on top of that and VAT. Nowadays min wage has skyrocketed, utilities have skyrocketed and the last bit of help they're getting ends on Good Friday.
And it's spiralled out of control and its the same for every business nearly.
