North Stand

They'd be able to do it with some planning. They put segregation in that area yesterday in the concourse so it can be done.

Possibly like, who knows. I know there's no turnstiles in that corner like, don't think there's any toilets or bars either if I'm right - or just a tiny one anyway.

There are turnstiles and toilet facilities in the area. Walk past them in the concourse every home match.

Def no turnstyles like bar 35/36 -

I know as we walk around to the North stand every game to avoid the stupid queues in the East Stand. Never know why they didn't bother with them in that corner as every other corner in the ground has them. Guess there's some reason though.

I've also noticed that the sign above the bit underneath is wrong as it points to 35/36 as if it's underneath. Typical of the club.

I wonder if the new footbridge would come into play at some point with a potential re - relocation for away end into the STH and home/away fan flow at full time.

Don't disagree, but sure someone said it wasn't possible in that corner due to lack of infrastucture like bars etc.
The bars have service equivalence for that stand, meaning they are the same throughout the stadium because they are spaced out equally for the capacity of that stand……………

It was far too hospitable for my liking

We should have embraced the full on North Korea experience for their fans. Minimal official police they’re too soft and after an easy payday

Instead we should have had, counterfeit beer sold at an elevated price on the concourse guaranteed to cause food poisoning, shady thug stewards fresh out of prison eager to hospitalise just for the thrill of it, snarling hungry attack dogs ready to maul any fucker who steps out of line, stewards demanding bribery or they’ll be thrown out to awaiting gangs happy to enact street justice

Agreed with the hospitality mind, should've done the bare minimum that's legal - not giving free champagne out.

I'm not sure there is as many bars in that corner, it's a bit of a weird layout around there since there's lack of turnstiles. Always very quiet whenever I've been trying to get around.

Let's not get away from the fact that the club didn't need to give up the lower tier. They chose to do this.

I think it was done on the basis they thought they could sell more corporate tickets alone.
The boxes to our supporters
The blackcats to theirs

Was there an overall customer service cost?

Logically, they should have appeased the regular income providers i.e the. blackcat and north stand season card holders first
Anyone with half a brain cell should have recognised this as the priority, because these are the LAST people the club should be disenfranchising. It’s ultimately a numbers game and those who were moved were the ones providing income for many seasons to come, not just a one off cup game.

Or perhaps no longer after the weekend

Disagree with this, the South stand is our home end now whether people like it or not. Why would you want to move the most vocal area of the ground where all the twats sit (stand) and where are all these twats going to go? To the North stand or into the family area? I'm sure the people already sitting there will appreciate kids on coke next to them.
Family area (SEC) was mentioned as moving to concourse from next season. Id wager that away fans will move there from next year. Then all your coked up kids won't need to move cos they'll be right next to the away fans.

As ive said in a previous post i think thats a huge mistake having the family end up in the concourse. Those little kids are the future of the club best way to keep them hooked is having them near the putch able to go down to the front see samson and deliah pitchside, watch the players warm up at close range take away that and i reckon a lot of younger kids wont want to go and you wont be able to get them back. Think theres a lot of people dont realise football has changed its not all about drunk blokes causing trouble anymore its now families and future fans getting hooked on going from a young age

Aye I seen that like, must kind of agree with the post after I'm not sure it's the best place for it. But I kind of get the reason aswell as it would sell tickets in an area currently unsold, why bother spend money in an area that's full anyway etc. etc. It needs to move though as it's in a dreadful place atm.

I'd prefer to keep them where they are but if they have to be brought downstairs for safety reasons it has to be in a corner. Never behind a goal. Our fans should always be behind both goals.
They can’t keep them where they are without sorting out the netting at a minimum, as someone will get killed at some point.
no we don't. you don't speak for all of us.

they should be in the north stand upper with a net in front of them. all things considered, its the best option

its by far the most illogical place for them. that corner of the ground outside is the busiest part of the surrounding area on a match day. anywhere around the stokoe statue has the most amount of home fans walking past, anyone going to the town or to the weatsheaf direction. yeah, lets put 3000 birmingham, leeds, coventry fans slap bang in the middle of it all. its the stupidest idea i've ever heard and thats why i totally expect SAFC to do it due to 'fan pressure'. then when theres trouble every other home game, with kids and women and families and old people getting caught in the middle of it , i fully expect the vast majority on here and FB to call the club stupid for doing it, saying how it was 'always a bad idea' etc... instead of waiting for hindsight to kick in, think about it now and avoid it.
You do realise in a few months the whole area is changing and that corner won’t be busy, and people will mostly walk towards the new bridge?

People should stop buying tickets for the North Stand and sit somewhere else. An empty end and no BCB revenue would send a loud message to the hierarchy at SAFC.
Why should people move from where they have sat since the stadium opening -I love the match and the area I sit and people around us
Great crack -all different -not people we would normally be with die to ages ect but fantastic
I wouldn’t want to move
In fact I got offered a box ticket ( look at me )but turned it down as would have been strange not to be with those you are with week in week out .
Get your sentiments but ain’t going to happen

So the entire north east corner and east stand will walk the other way around the ground to get to the new bridge? And anyone in the south stand and west stand will walk around the north stand if they want to head to the wheatsheaf or over the town bridge?

Of course they won't. The new bridge opening, the bars and events place at the stables, and the new housing going in sheepfolds makes having the away fans in that area even more idiotic..

No one will listen, the club will do it, and it will an absolute shit show almost every home game..I'm telling you now. Next home game, go and stand at the statue half hour before kick off , or for 10 mins after the end. And picture in your head the entire away end spilling out into the middle of that. It's lunacy

I'm convinced they'll use the NE corner which I think is roughly 3k?

Where do you sit every match pal ? Had your season ticket long ? Wonder how you would have reacted had it been your season ticket. How you would have reacted had the club treated you like shit?

I'm on the fence whether to renew at all, that's how much it's impacted me. Newcastle fans were getting exclusive f***ing gifts for buying BCB tickets man. And what do I get for pouring hundreds into the club every season , not just a one off like those idiot Newcastle fans ? I get absolutely fuck all. I get kicked out of my seat, I get fuck all in way of an apology, no way or compensation. Just absolutely nothing.

Sorry I tell a lie, if I wanted to sit in a £36 seat I would've got a £4 discount. Massive.

The caring club that looks after it's fans. Shameful

Happens for Cup games up and down the Country. Amazed at how many people don't understand this.

Just today 3k Man City ST holders moved for Huddersfield fans, 4.5k Arsenal ST holders to make way for Liverpool fans. 6k West Ham ST Holders moved to make way for Bristol City.
