North Stand

That's a generic point they'll put in every year, but you're being pedantic on this because no one in the NS lower would expect to be moved. Especially when the NW Upper is empty, and 6 k could be house upstairs.

“No one would be expect to be moved “

And I’m being pedantic ? 😂

Really ?

Anyone think the Club will disinfect the North Stand seating?????
Disagree with this, the South stand is our home end now whether people like it or not. Why would you want to move the most vocal area of the ground where all the twats sit (stand) and where are all these twats going to go? To the North stand or into the family area? I'm sure the people already sitting there will appreciate kids on coke next to them.
Is it hell...

It looked class having the whole south stand on their feet for 90 mins yesterday. Get a standing section across the whole end asap

Totally agreed man, be class having an end of the ground where the players are shit scared to play against because of the atmosphere.

Is it hell...

It really is and has been for years. It's by far our strongest stand. No player will come to the Stadium of Light and be intimitated by the North Stand before or after the move. Not to mention the basic fact that the away fans sit in the 'home end'.

Pleasure is mine.

Its bad taste tho isnt it? And its uneccessary isnt it?

That match was our 1st derby in years. Nearly every season ticket holder wanted to go and our club should have made a point in making it class for all safc fans (help with pr abd all that shit with the fans). surely we could have let more safc fans go than allocate 6k newcastle. Same revenue surely

Then you add in the bcb and all in all its just a complete shit show from our club for what should be one of the highlights of the last decade for supporters given recent years of crap.

The PR opportunity for safc to its fans was well and truly lost.

Yesterday was just rubbing salt into an already open wound for many of us. Season ticket holders in the North Stand have been particularly treated terribly by the club they love. Not just the fact our seats were given to that lot but also the communication by the club was awful, then the phase 2 leftover ticket allocation and then the black cats bar redecoration was the final straw.

I will not renew my season ticket in that stand again and will move elsewhere. I suggest others consider this too. Fans there have been treated appallingly by the club. Made to feel that they don’t give a shite about us. Never felt this angry towards the club in my life. Totally let down
Just a thought .
Where could they have put 6k scum fans other than North stand ?

Oh and then have the aftermath about throwing missiles etc.
The fact is the club were in a no win situation.
My only gripe is the BCB should have remained closed
There never been issues with missiles at the mags game randomly, and the sheer amount of cops and steward would police that.

It’s all relatively simple to understand.

By purchasing a season ticket you accept the terms and conditions, which state you had no right to have the same seat for an FACup match.

You got the chance of another seat , that’s all you’re entitled to.

90 minutes in a different seat , but you want an apology and compensation.

Bearing in mind that the early rounds of the cups in general, thousands of season ticket holders don’t bother turning up anyway , which would have been the case if we’d played a lower league club.

Compensation ? , take the club to court then If you dont get what you want.

We have some morons sat in amongst us every week.
And we have some morons on here posting shite like that trying to defend the absolutely shameful way that long time fans were treat and are treated by this club. are you an employee by any chance ? You certainly sound like one !!!!

Don’t disagree, but shouting for compensation and apologies from the club is gone beyond ridiculous now.

I'd move the away fans downstairs permanently to stop any shite like this happening again. Improves the atmosphere too. The sooner safe standing is brought back the better too as most the South Stand/SWC just stand anyways. Only thing would be how would moving the away fans work?

Say they go back in the South Stand, what then happens to everybody in the South Stand with Season Tickets, as the atmosphere is generated from there. Cannot just go and split everybody up and then expect everybody who currently stands, and sings every game, to go sit elsewhere and not be able to stand, sing etc.

Unless we move the family section and put the away fans there? Not sure how it would all work tbh.

Have the Newcastle fans chucked stuff down before? Cannot recall this
Probably basing on stuff thats happened in last couple of years .
With quality cctv monitoring the crowd you'd think it would be easy .
They even did this at RP 30 years ago 😅

This is probably controversal but could they block up the Black Cats bar windows pitch side, move the away fans in the North Stand lower and move the BCB back in the upper tier where it always was. Every other corporate area doesn't have pitch side windows and the place is due a refurb anyway. The blinds are down all game anyway so it's not like it would be the end of the world.

Would end these threads for once and for all. Anyone in the North Stand lower with a season ticket, can get their current ticket price for a set period anywhere else in the ground as compensation.

Anyone with North Stand and BCB tickets needs to realise that if we are promoted to the PL the club will move us all. It will be the away end ant they will then refurb the BCB and rename it something neutral like “The Bar” and milk as much as they can from away corporate.

I’m not renewing but if you are planning to then look for somewhere in another stand to avoid eventual disappointment. The North Stand is no longer ours.

Away fans should be in the SEC and the family zone moved upstairs. Having the kids corner next to the singing end makes no sense, just encourages them hearing bad language and things, and having the away fans apart from the singing end just negatively impacts both the atmosphere created by the away fans and the singing end. The SWC was much louder when it was next to the away fans than it is now.

This solves the North Standers getting shit lobbed at them (bearing in mind the brunt of those getting hit are actually the BCB ST holders who are paying a premium) and puts the away fans right next to the giant coach park right outside the SEC, which should be repurposed and used for the away fans coaches, which cannot be situated in the sheepfolds for long when all the bars and fanzone opens.

However this would require some investment to relocate security barriers, etc., which is why it isn't considered, despite being the most logical option.

You'd lose hundreds of ST holders permanently doing that. I've sat in my seat in the North Stand since 1998, my Dad and his mates have sat in the next few since 1997, and stood at the equivalent place in Roker since 1975. The majority of people around us have also been going since the stadium opened and can guarantee a large section of these wouldn't move elsewhere. I know many didn't attend yesterday for this same reason, and would rather cancel than relocate.

Agree yeah the SEC would be the most logical place for them
