I have to say the SMB has probably been the most supportive social media outlet and so my comments arent really aimed at this place. The vast majority of our world class volunteers have came from here and it's been a joy working alongside you all to try and create something different.

I'd like to say it's been a pleasure but I'd be lying though.

if the group were stronger than 4 people strong then I've no doubt they'd do it but it's not worth the additional stress.

The lads are just looking forward to getting their matchday back tbh.

The club didn’t back them enough throwing 10k to change a display last minute isn’t the full support.

Neil didn’t want it

They sent Chris waters who’s a lovely bloke to do the job of senior staff.

A percentage of fans slagging them off.

Funny thing is not one of those fans has the balls to nip in and speak to them. Just waited to post on social media.

I'll see yous around the pubs on a matchday and our support can go back to being stuck in the 90s whilst WarFlags take the piss. It's obviously what our support want.
 
some of the comments on twitter are lifting like. i mean it's mostly mags given they think worflags invented displays and anyone else is trying to copy but there's plenty of what appear to be our own throwing out some ridiculous allegations

looked brilliant but it's got to be far more hassle than it's worth for the lads involved. can imagine they're waking up this morning massively relieved it's done now
 
The display looked great.

I guess the issues are the average person (myself included) have no idea what anything costs. Some people will be expecting a display like Dortmund v Malaga that moves. While others are expecting card.

If the lads continue doing it, I guess the surfers and banners would be my preference as they can be reused but would they just be lost without the cards around them?

all the materials, banners, surfers and the rest are in position behind the roker end. Folk are welcome to crack on and use them. Not having a pop at you mate. Your comments are appreciated.

One of that lot's displays cost £45k at one point (in comparison).

You lads have done your bit, the fact it's been such a chew on with the club that in itself should give yous an excuse to pack it in, I think us on the outside have seen first hand now with the handling of this derby what kind of people you have been dealing with. Then to add on the really f***ing strange element we've got in our support that looks for criticism or conspiracy in everything I don't know how you lads have done it for so long. Get back to enjoying the match without the chew on the club will soon see how much work goes into these things should they want to try and recreate it in the future.

Couldn't even manage a bottle of water for the lads and lasses during two 8+ hour shifts of free labour to decorate their stadium whilst those ***** are getting fed, watered and supplied with free merchandise at the drop of a hat.

The mags and inept management at the club club and a few keyboard wankers who don’t represent 99.9% of us (and have probably never given a minute of voluntary time to do something positive) can screw themselves.

Display was canny and added to the day.

Hopefully someone from the club sees where they’ve went wrong / messed up and invites you for a days hospitality or lunch with the team at the AOL. It would certainly be deserved.

There’s always going to be knackers on Twitter / here having a dig. The vast majority of supporters are grateful for your efforts. They wouldn’t have participated otherwise. 99.9% held the bits over their heads, that’s the only measure of approval you should concentrate on.
 
Another point to make is those slating the group for the "bin bag" material should consider why that material was used.

Forced upon the group because the club didn't want people throwing card about.

it's the only approved material that exists. Approved by dickheads that don't get it. Naturally the group takes the flak.

Fuck the club.
 
I find it staggering that a certain small percentage of our "fans" have conducted a witch hunt against a volunteer group trying their best to improve the atmosphere.

38,000 items bought for £15k, 40p per item is absolutely fuck all and people are still moaning.

If these lads have had enough (and i don't blame them) I look forward to those conducting the witch hunt stepping up and providing displays and flags and giving up days and days of time better, cheaper and with full support of the club.

I won't hold my breath though as the arseholes who have moaned and accused will do fuck all apart from pat themselves on the back that their bile made SO37 lads stop.

I hate some of our "fans" at times

You don't have to justify anything to me mate, I'm suprised you could fill the whole ground for that price at 38,000 items.

I can't buy a packet of fag papers for less than a quid!

I'm disappointed you lads are retiring, I won't say given up and you have fought the club and negative fans for months and months.

Hopefully you all get to enjoy the games again without the stress
