If a group of volunteers who've committed 1000s of hours between them to make matchdays better for us all need a bit of a pat on the back every now and then - so what?

They can keep posting these threads and I'll keep liking them. In fact if they keep it going (their call) I'll be their with my kids in future helping set up. They make a huge difference.

Only issue I have was this very thread. Not the display, certainly not the volunteers. I have said earlier today that the club has treated everyone involved shamefully.

Just don't think it's right to have this thread - the way it's worded/tone. Shaming a tiny minority of fans as the reason they are stopping. And basically it's coming across as look at what we could have had going forward, but fuck yous we are stopping now. Said for the umpteenth time.

Doing this hours after a match we have comfortably lost.

Even if it has, and I don’t think it has, so f***ing what? Who cares, just let it go and say nowt. The op could have been worded differently to say a minority of fans, but as has been said above, if they need a bit of a pat on the back today of all days after the time and effort that’s gone into making the stadium look fantastic for all our benefit then it’s fully justified.

Elicit not illicit. I think you are stroking your own ego. @DonaldDownTheWing doesn't need to stroke his ego. Fantastic effort over seasons not a one day effort from people like you.
 
Looked alright, but £17k was a rip and it's absolutely okay to give negative feedback on it if you thought it was shite 🤷‍♂️. You 'true fans' who are berating those who are calling out negative reviews are just showing yourselves up as ignorant tbh...
 
This has to be another drunken post by someone from so37 that they'll regret in the morning, like the time donald came on and abused the fans for not being up to his standards, had to apologise then resigned from so37...

They do good work but get over yourselves man, if you are really doing it to improve the support then why do you care what a tiny minority think of you? Clearly most of us thought the display was brilliant.

I'd have gone just for the south stand and forgone the rest of the stadium as I think full stadium displays take away from the atmosphere rather than add to it. What we had was decent but my point was a) £17k is a lot of money and I (and others) don't think there was value there and b) it's okay to call that out without being told you're less of a fan...
