Harry Gardiner in from South Shields

Based on the number of lads who we've let move on who HAVEN'T made it anywhere else, I'm guessing that the coaching staff don't feel he's good enough to develop into a Championship or better player. It's not a slight on him before anyone starts, just that statistically most young players don't develop into first team players. Unfortunately for Gardiner he's another one, sure he's a great lad with some promise and he'll find his level over time or with any luck develops into the one that got away.

Spellman is just a squad filler too

U18s have more prospects

To be fair we need a striker up at Consett, so I'll hope he's good enough to end up here one day. We've already got Josh Baggs who is having a canny season at full back, as one ex youth product. Happy to get a few more in to quieten the NUFC rabble in out support up here.

@Gillythedilf
Spoke to him and his dad last night and this morning a couple of times about it.

The lad needs games and he’s not getting them here so it’s a good move and still gets to sleep in his own bed on a night.
He’s been assured a run of games to show what he can do, as we don’t want a repeat of the shite of sitting on the bench like last season at Sheilds.

He’s gave me his ticket for the match tomorrow aswell which is a bonus.

Agree with all of your post, however I think he’s no worse than the strikers they’ve brought in.

That’s my personal opinion and not feedback from him or his family .

Good luck to the lad. Hope he gets a chance here though.
