Good luck to the lad. Didn't want to hang around in the under 23's and not get a fair crack of the whip here. Good on himYou must be logged on to see external links
Either first team strikers a dropping down to play or U18s are moving upGood luck to the lad. Didn't want to hang around in the under 23's and not get a fair crack of the whip here. Good on him![]()
Hope it goes well for him.
I thought maybe back to South ShieldsHope it goes well for him.
The lad wanted away, never gonna get a look in here...which is wrong.Either first team strikers a dropping down to play or U18s are moving up
Just like Max Thompson then? The lad wanted away, never gonna get a look in here...which is wrong.
Gardiner is better than Thompson imo. Gardiner knows where the net is.Just like Max Thompson then?
Spellman is just a squad filler tooBased on the number of lads who we've let move on who HAVEN'T made it anywhere else, I'm guessing that the coaching staff don't feel he's good enough to develop into a Championship or better player. It's not a slight on him before anyone starts, just that statistically most young players don't develop into first team players. Unfortunately for Gardiner he's another one, sure he's a great lad with some promise and he'll find his level over time or with any luck develops into the one that got away.
Spoke to him and his dad last night and this morning a couple of times about it.
Agree with all of your post, however I think he’s no worse than the strikers they’ve brought in.Based on the number of lads who we've let move on who HAVEN'T made it anywhere else, I'm guessing that the coaching staff don't feel he's good enough to develop into a Championship or better player. Good luck to the lad. Hope he gets a chance here though.Spoke to him and his dad last night and this morning a couple of times about it.
The lad needs games and he’s not getting them here so it’s a good move and still gets to sleep in his own bed on a night.
He’s been assured a run of games to show what he can do, as we don’t want a repeat of the shite of sitting on the bench like last season at Sheilds.
He’s gave me his ticket for the match tomorrow aswell which is a bonus.

That’s my personal opinion and not feedback from him or his family .
Whenever I’ve seen him he’s a finisher -needs to bulk out a bit but always looked cannyGardiner is better than Thompson imo. Gardiner knows where the net is.
See what he does on loan mate, I think he’ll earn a decent living in the game as he’s got what most others havnt got;Good luck to the lad. Hope he gets a chance here though.
No worse based on what I bet ruseyn etc have played at a higher level than he ever mightSpoke to him and his dad last night and this morning a couple of times about it.

And bulk up and mature physically he will, the amount of growing he’s done in the last 2 years alone is significant.Whenever I’ve seen him he’s a finisher -needs to bulk out a bit but always looked canny
Good luck to him
Good finisher -I really like the ladAnd bulk up and mature physically he will, the amount of growing he’s done in the last 2 years alone is significant.
As I say his brain and work rate is his biggest asset.
