*~*~* Rotherham v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

I said prior to kick off, we are possibly the slowest team in the league. Painful to watch now.
There seems to be a reluctance in the team to break with pace even when it’s on to do so. At one point in the first half tonight we had a break where it looked like it could have been 3 v 2 but Jobe decided to check back when he should have drove on, allowing Rotherham to get men back into position, it’s f***ing infuriating.

Wow,

People arguing the toss about parachute payments..

Bizarre comparisons to other teams...

Get M'Vila back...

If only Amad wasn't a loanee...surely he wants to come back...he loves it here.

If we just had a good old fashioned number 9....

We should play 442....

I dont want to us to play in the prem anyway, it is overrated and I have seen the best football ever in the last couple of years...

Blah blah....

RTG is insane.

😊

I’m not a great fan as yet, but I feel he deserves a chance.

Poor performance tonight, but from his comments he knows that.

The proof of the pudding will be if he puts things right over the next few weeks.
Mate, we all know that. Knowing it, and changing it are 2 different things though. And he has proven incapable of the latter all of his managerial career.
He is f***ing useless. He won't be able to do it marra. He's proven that.

So, we sack Mowbray because he can’t take us further. And recruit Beale because he’s the coach who can. I’ll stay in the ‘give him a chance’ frame of mind but at the moment we’re worse, and I see nothing to show he’s changing anything for the better.
Mowbray points per game 1.42.
Beale points per game 1.33.

Beale’s sample size is small but given that ‘performance’ the alarm bells should be ringing.

I’m reminded of an old saying after reading a lot of these posts not just today but this over the years gone by.’You can’t educate pork’.Ive said ever since Stewart departed we will need another as good as him. Stewart hit the ground running after Wyke left,in attack scoring and holding the ball and setting up others .The model or the plan will drag the club down in its present format as many more can see what others always saw. Not one but at least four forwards were brought in and from the off they showed and gave nothing what so ever. These should have been put with the academy from the off, maybe Chelsea wouldn’t have agreed but the fact is at this moment at a time when needed the other three have been a total dissapointent to say the least and Mr Speakman must take the total blame and hopefully go. I doubt this will happen as it’s an admission of failure and he does have the boy owners ears with his brainwashing of him. I can’t believe this great club of ours is being run on and off the field shockingly and sickening many fans. We have a winger who without him where would we be that surely can’t be right. If a change of plan in the next few weeks isn’t brought in and the club find the money to bring in experience Togo with the youth who are worth it we will struggle even more than we are and have been showing game after game. What does this board bring to the club? What do they actually do? They must know others who can invest in the club and not treat this like a farm business or why can’t the owner get his mothers to chip in. There’s more to say but I’m f***ing pissed right off with this lot.

We didn’t have parachute payments, none that we could spend anyway, Short & Donald done a deal where Short would give Donald the club if he gave Short the PPs, don’t you remember?

4 went for cash
1 Stewart £8 million
2 Gooch £1 million
3 Lihadji £2 million
4 Dajaku £1.5 million

total of £12 1/2 million if you go off reports
Forgot about the 4th one. If the worst happens and another goes there's no excuse not getting people in. I'm not holding my breath though.

We pretty much all agree with giving him a fair crack of the whip but if there’s one set of fans with the experience to sense the ominous whiff of approaching failure it’s us.
