Only my opinion Gards, but I don't think I am alone in thinking that way, but your opinion differs and that is OK.
 

It's a tricky subject as the Terrorist supporting beheading scum Saudis are literally cleaning up entire swathes of sport and other things on top. We all know they bought the wobbly gobs under the advice of the British government with no doubt Boris pocketing a packet somewhere along the line. Literally everyone is selling out. Boxing has sold it's soul to them, the LIV Golf with John Rahm been so vocal against it before, to now accepting his £480 million deal.

This is what the world has become. Everything is about money and morals can be bought at a price. See loads of examples. That's why it's so shite as now it isn't the north East rivalry between Sunderland and Newcastle. The whole playing field has changed. The world is selling out all over. It's great for them all financially and it's really sad for the normal folk to see it happen. People can tart it up all they want. That's what is happening.

Would I go to Saudi for 480 million like Rahm? Of course I would. That's what makes it so sad and embarrassing on the rest of the world selling out.

Yes, but I'd feel guilty about it but the guilt would be less than the guilt I would feel if I couldn't support my family as well as I would like to. The difference doubling wages of £1000 makes to your life is far greater than doubling wages of £100,000 a week.
 
Some right sad people on here . Yes Henderson has turned out to be a hypocrite for playing over there after being such a advocate for the LBQT community but no one on here without their fingers toes and everything else crossed , could tell me they would turn down the mental amounts of money he has been offered
The lad hasn’t killed anyone or committed a hideous crime , he’s done what sportsman throughout the world are doing .
Henderson is Sunderland through and through , loves the club and I hope he plays a part in our future .

I'm absolutely amazed at this like. My dad went there in the 80s to work as a Foreman on a construction project for 18 months. We bought a house when he came back. Nobody mentioned human rights then, but they were most definelty there and I doubt much has changed in their culture between then and now.

My point is, my fellow kebab loving friend.

Because, they have been hoodwinked into believing all the LGBTQ/woke/PC etc etc BS created by the corporates and elites to "divide and conquer" and it's evident they have succeeded in this very thread, it's really sad.

Can you imagine someone calling your dad a f***ing prick for earning a living and safeguarding his families future 🤷‍♂️
The fact they have bought the scum has definitely clouded people’s judgment. I wonder if there are people in Ronaldo’s home town calling him a f***ing prick and vowing that he’d never play for their club again.

Ah I'm not out on him although I do think he's a hypocrite, but I'd have him back. The Saudi thing is a touchy subject now as it's so much in the spotlight and is taking over everything (Including the wobbly gobs who protested about Mike Ashley's zero hour contracts but not beheadings in Saudi)

It's all going away from the sports I loved so I'm growing less and less interested in anything associated to them.

EDIT: Also never judge this board with our fan going views as a percentage. They differ vastly on many a subject trust me

There’s a huge difference between someone taking care of their family and someone who is worth £25m being bought for propaganda purposes. He’s not being paid to play football (crowds are about 500), he’s been bought to sportswash human rights.

If you think that’s the same as someone providing for their family then you’re quite mad

I was disappointed that he went but I can’t say I blame him .
The money they are offering is off the scale . You can come on here and pontificate all you like but whatever job you have/had you’d hold your nose and do it for them if the money was right .
