Forthcoming gigs.

The Waterboys next Friday at The Roundhouse in Camden...............missus got the tickets as she's a fan but I'm just looking forward to going to a new and 'iconic' venue :)

Then the following night @ Clockwork Orange at Albert Hall in Manchester !

I thought the sound was all over the place from section 104. Maybe different in different areas? Bernard's vocals were inaudible at points (no bad thing sometimes) and the bass was also periodically non-existent.

I enjoyed it but it felt a bit clinical. The arena, as arenas go, is about as good as you'll get. Given a straight choice between watching the same artist at Newcastle Arena and Leeds, then the extra travel time and hassle is worth it. The only downside for me would be how high and far away level 3 seats are from the stage. I've been in those seats once and didn't feel connected to the gig at all.
I saw Neil Young at Leeds Arena from the seats and it was immense. New Order standing was as good a sound as you're going to get. Newcastle Arena has always been poor and the Academy even worse.

hoping to go and see new model army at the melkweg arena in amsterdam on december 17th. I've got no holidays left and will need the monday off, trying to sweet talk the boss into giving me the day off.
always been a bit of a bucket list thing to see them abroad.

Its a great venue but watch the step near the bar down to stage area, nearly broke my neck

cheers. got any recommendations for decent digs nearby?
There's plenty chain hotels around there ,can't exactly remember which one we stayed, think it was near the hilton and it was near entrance of a park 1 in the diamond district
We flew in got the bus as hotel was opposite end to the train station

Wish they’d play the US, but I imagine that ship has sailed given the expense. I know they had trouble getting visas in the 80s and early 90s, but I did miss them 10-15 years ago, which I still kick myself about

What did you think - his vocal range was fantastic and it was an enjoyable set, what a shame it was only half full,We were upstairs and there was only about 50 up there.
Martin Stephenson for me next. Pop Recs in a couple of weeks. Been one of the longest none gig gaps since the end of covid.
He was on at the Laundrette about 6 weeks ago and as always very entertaining.

Aye, after years of missing out on him this’ll be my third time in about a year.
