Are you saying the BBC is definitive? So he wasn't booked then.
Isn’t it showing there that Greenwood was booked, apologies for upsetting your train of thought in my effort to help.
Good morning, hope you have a nice day.
PS no I’m not saying the BBC definitive .

No, it's showing he scored in the 58th minute.

Line-ups tab shows no booking for him.

No upset here, I'll have a lovely day thanks... you too.

Well I’m entitled to my opinion. Hope he’s not allowed to spoil another game through the incompetence he displayed on Saturday.

If I was as shit or underperformed to that extent in my job (as in most walks of life) I’d expect to be disciplined or receive a formal warning.

So the last bit of your post doesn’t really add credibility to you defending him.

What's your job?
I would hope that EFL or FA monitor such things. I would also hope that if they do, they can rule out anything untoward happened at the weekend. Somebody on here might know if there is active monitoring, but I guess we will never know if something has been ruled out, we'll only know if they find something fishy. It has happened in other European leagues, higher levels than the Championship even.

I have no idea why things went the way they did in the last game. but nearly 70 pages about the ref must be some kind of record even for SMB/PF, so that in itself tells you it was at the very least the most contentious refereeing performance since we dropped out of the PL. And that is saying something with the almost weekly low standards we saw in L1. Also worth noting is the usual ref defenders have only been vocal on this thread to defend refereeing in general, and have barely commented on any specific incidents.

Not sure if I'm classed as a ref defender these days, though if I am your last point clearly isn't true.

That tab doesn't appear to show any of the bookings other than Neil's two.

Trust me, Greenwood was booked in the game.
Apologies, you need to click on the link and open a different page.

Aye, I posted that ... I know you keep saying he was booked, yet nowhere shows him as being booked. I assume he wasn't actually booked.

Well he definitely was because I saw it, and I trust my eyes more than a piece of text on a screen. It appears it wasn't reported (whatever the word is) but it definitely happened.

Btw, if you have access to Sky try and watch it back, they confirmed it around 32/33 minutes. The yellow card thing came up for him along the bottom and I've even quoted what the commentator had to say about it.

I don't have any access to SKY, I've no doubt that what you're saying is correct, that you saw it and that the commentators saw and said it ... but the top and bottom of it is that if it wasn't reported then he wasn't booked, which is another example of utter ineptitude!

Boro site has him down for two bookings this season (QPR & Cardiff). Hopefully the FA go by the SKY commentary and they play him when he's supposed to be suspended later in the season :)

it was reported on sky that greenwood was booked. I presume apart from the commentators own eyes, they would receive confirmation from their rep on the halfway line as initially the commentator stated the booking was in the direction of greenwood and coburn. it later came up on the yellow sticker it was greenwood. commentator then came up with greenwoods family being in the away end for this fixture.

id disown my son if he’d done that to me

Bizarre ignorant post based of seeing him for one game and hear say of a couple other.

With absolutely no idea whatsoever how he has performed in 95% of his other games.

What a absolute stupid way to assess somebody or anybody in any industry.
He wouldn`t have sent a player off in a high profile premier league game- but he was on sky and wanted to show what a billy big bollocks he was and so sent off Neil knowing that there would be no repercussions from the national media. Upshot he's a self serving prick who use the match for his own career purposes

This ^ look at him when he sent him off ! Arrogance personified ‘look at me I’m in charge’

And I'd presume if the booking had been issued and correctly reported that all the reports and stats sites and the 'boro site would reflect that, but presumption isn't getting us anywhere, as it seems that he isn't recorded as being booked.

It all points to someone not fit to referee... not fit too re fer reeeeeee.

Although I agree with a lot of passionate feelings about this blokes incompetence I reckon it must be time to move on. Let's hope Ekwah is back at least and pray that Alese can get onto the pitch at full back otherwise will be Hume as left-back. We were screwed over but can give Stoke a good beating and all will be rosy again.

that is why I have asking for the audio tapes re ref miked up to be released.

normally if a mistake has happened it is later clarified and it certainly does not appear in the refs report.

cannot be allowed to be shoved under the carpet

Not by me you aren't, I am referring to the well-known ones. Can't vouch for what anybody else thinks mind! I think our disagreement during the thread was valuable as it exposed another refereeing inconsistency that hadn't previously come to light, i.e. you and others clearly saw him book Greenwood but this does not appear to have been recorded officially.
