If his Instagram is real and isn’t one set up as a fake account he also has a picture of himself with the caption “I’m the best” 🙈
It's stuff like that which makes me think it's not him, whilst at the same time also confirming it's him. The absolute helmet.

So, so disappointing to read so many of our fans blaming Dan Neil. I've read many times on here that we don't put enough pressure on the ref when they give wrong decisions, or when they aren't being even handed. And yet, here we have a Wear Tees Derby and a born and bred Sunderland fan and now player, watches as Boro get away with clear and obvious persistent fouling and all targeted at Jack Clarke. He gets frustrated and disputes yet another sonically foul on Clarke, 10 yards from the ref. I'd have been livid if he hadn't pointed out what the ref was clearly letting go. A true professional would have sent any other players away and lectured Dan Neil, giving him a final warning. You see it every game.

I despair at people wanting to take his passion and desire out of the game. I didn't want to see him sent off and I don't want others to be sent off for challenging the ref either, unless they're in his face and threatening.
This. We’ve said we were too much of a soft touch all the time in League One.
Neil was standing up for his teammate. Just watch Newcastle today (if you can bear it) when a decision doesn’t go their way.
Let’s just see how many yellow cards are given

Also the sad thing about it, was that we had two good people as managers with both sets of players playing good football- the atmosphere and mood between the players was good.

These things happen however Neil is to blame .
If he said nothing he wouldn't have been sent off
i would agree with you except he was 20 yards away!....if he gave a yellow card to everyone swearing about a foul there would be nobody left on the pitch! We would have won that game yesterday if it wasn't for that daft decision..and i see the mobray haters are out in force blaming him for how we set up in the second half ..a tad shitty in my book the heads of our young team had gone with the daft sending off and no amount of setting up or management skill would have amailorated that .........we have no experienced players on the bench and that's not mowbrays fault is it!?boro are a strong quick physical team who would have lost yesterday without the ref and lets just focus on that and move on.
