The ref (see PGMOL thread)

He was absolutely horrendous but in no way to blame for our collapse after the sending off.

Besides that though clearly someone who wants to make a name for himself in the English game. Some of the basic decisions were clearly not right.

The persistent fouling Boro got away with all game was driving me potty. If he planned to be strict Boro could've st least had two off for persistent fouls especially on Clarke. It just topped the refs performance off that he was so inconsistent on top of incompetent. Spoilt what was shaping up to be a close derby game

Well, he was in his face and shouting whilst waving his arms. He may have already been warned. Apparently, in the Sky coverage, it was said that he had warned both teams prior to the game that he wouldn't tolerate dissent. Dan was an idiot, after a borderline red, which he got a yellow for, he is in the refs face.
Don't be f***ing stupid man, he was stood 10-20 meters away and pointing up the pitch where he thought the foul was

More disciplined? 46,000 supporters screaming and shouting, Sunderland through and through so understandably caught up in the emotion of the game and he's been sent off for saying the word "f***ing".

Have a word with yourself man. Total and utter bollocks like this is why jumped up freaks like Gillet get away with this shite time and time again.

It's never the ref's fault is it?
Totally disagree part of been a professional footballer or it should be is to think about what he doing when already on a yellow card.

Your or I might get carried away with the passion on a Sunday morning and I am sure we will have done, I know I have, but we not professional and not been paid a fortune and supporters and the club relying on us to keep our discipline.

So he must have said something bad, hiwever, I saw him take the yellow out as Dan shouted at him, in front of him.
I don’t believe he did.

Did you see the second yellow he gave against wolves? Arguably more ridiculous than today.

But if others are swearing and not getting pulled up....

You well know he didn't just say it, we could all see that, and did he just say tgat? Had he said more? Had he already been warned? The ref will have to put it in his report I suspect.
Then I expect Mowbray to be charged as that is exactly what he said was said.
I sit in the concourse so I certainly didn’t see what he said. Your eyesight must be canny.
