ODI World Cup

Not difficult to bat against that bowling in fairness. That said I'm merely concerned about England.
Just making the point that he played in the same competitions as our guys.

Therefore that defeat was down to their skills been massively better than ours on the day.

And nothing whatsoever to do with what competition our and their players played in August

I don’t post/read much on the cricket forum but every time I do your on about the hundred like 😂
You must miss all my Durham posts.

So are you suggesting we were well cooked and prepared? Forget about New Zealand, nobody is on about them. I'm on about England.

Long way to go yet. Best get the crap performance out of the way early.
Yeah of course there is, we absolutely destroyed in a very similar way Australia in the semis of 2019 World Cup and India in the semis of the last T20 World Cup.

And both of them quality sides as we are!

Shit happens in cricket, the set up and quality of the side suggests we will bounce back ok

I am suggesting no international quality cricket players, play domestic 50 over cricket any more.

They all not just England players play franchise tournaments so we not at any disadvantage

So all international teams are on a level footing in that way, so it’s who adapts the best which they clearly did today.

After "winning" the cup in the least convincing and most controversial way possible it now seems England are going to defend it in the most embarrassing way too. 😂😂
Way too early for that mind.

New Zealand played almost perfectly. we had a few underpar performances but this team always returns stronger.

A few tweaks clearly needed.

In other news, I’ve just received a warning for pointing out the SpamBot’s spamming…

Just so you all know when I end up getting banned for highlighting this issue.

Better get a screenshot quick before the deletion mind.
The modSS. A great bunch of lads.
Setting off from Sunderland tonight to take in the next match in Dharamshala. Hopefully they play a bit better than today.
Have a wicked time mate!

A mate was there today and told me you're not allowed to take sun cream water or food in, which is slightly concerning for my trip in January, as don't think it's just a WC thing. Sounds absolutely ridiculous and OTT

These lads couldn't be arsed apart from Root to put themselves forward to get warmed up against Ireland, it's not an attitude I'm comfortable with to be honest. Of course I hope we win it but after the legacy left after we won it a few year ago, does it really matter how good or bad we do?

They're deffo dry and no pass outs allowed. The sun screen ban is a bit shan though, not so much for Dharamshala cos it'll only be about 15 degrees, but the game in Delhi it'll be about 40 degrees inside the stadium.

I honestly don't think anyone, from players to coaches to the higher echelons of the ECB seem particularly interested in winning it again. Been there done that, got the recognition four years ago at home when the spotlight was truly on, then did "the double" last year as their crowning glory. Fully prepared to be shot down and I hope they prove me wrong, but that's how I see it at the moment

It worries me tbh. I imagine in Hyderabad in January it will be necessary
