Batth to Norwich ** confirmed **

I honestly don’t know where this come from. He’s no worse with the ball than O’Nien is. He had absolutely no detrimental impact on the football we played last season. None whatsoever
He cant distribute for shit bless him 😄
I reckon if we're still looking likely by Jan, and neither Seelte nor Triantis have staked a claim, we'll spend on a CB that can take us up go up with us .

He couldn't do what o'nien is doing this season, which is going into midfield and overlapping hume on the right wing.

If Mowbray is set on playing this way then there's definitely no room for batth.

Another tick for the recruitment team. TM wants to play a certain way. Batth doesn’t fit into that way. Amazed people can’t figure that out.
Yep, it really is that simple.

I love Batth, but he’s clearly not very comfortable on the ball - although he is very solid on the defensive side of the game.

Mowbray wants CBs who are calm under pressure in possession, Batth isn’t one of them.

He absolutely 100% is. O’Nien is miles ahead of Batth for pass volume, completion percentage, progressive passes, progressive carries, take-ons and shot creating actions. It’s fair to say that Batth didn’t hurt us on the ball for his presence last season - and it’s certainly fair to wonder if that stuff is important to winning - but to claim that Batth is Onien’s equal on the ball is demonstrably nonsense. And for good or ill, the club are prioritising these sorts of things from the defence this season.

In 40 games last season. Danny Batth.

Crosses 0
Dribbles 5

Luke O’nien just this season in only 9 games.

Crosses 2
Dribbles 7

You’d also never see Danny Batth in these positions.

This is what TM wants his centre backs to do. Batth can’t do it.

That is insane for centre half's.

Hmm I hope I am proved wrong, but I reckon Batth and Ballard would have been ourbest CB pairing, 09 in the holding DM spot allows Dan to play further forward.
So far I have absolutely no problem with whatever our recruitment have done in all honesty. I feel I have been more than proven wrong. May have been a good rotation option but oh my lord this is the best Sunderland side I have seen in a while.

Whilst I don’t think O9 is the best CB he embodies everything we do well at the moment in his fluid play. I’m not worried one bit (yet…)

There must have been 6-7 times yesterday that onien squeezed the centre forward, nicker the ball off him, and started a counter. For all his attributes, Batth couldn't do that either.

It’s a strange one, during the close season, Mowbray went from praising him to saying he couldn’t do what he wanted. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was a performance bonus due. There are certain games where DB would be the first name on the team sheet, Luton playoff for one. Anyway we can’t complain really as in general Speakman & Dodds have got it right up to now.

Just heard he had a sell on clause and a signing on fee so if he’d played anymore games he would have cost us about £4 million!
I've just heard that Donal Trump isn't a lying self centred egotist.
I don't believe that either.
