Have you not seen onien surging up the field creating overloads and starting attacks off?Hmm I hope I am proved wrong, but I reckon Batth and Ballard would have been ourbest CB pairing, 09 in the holding DM spot allows Dan to play further forward.
Why sell any? What are you trying to say?I’m not slagging batth off but to keep him, what centre half would you have sold?
He was fantastic last season and no doubt with injuries etc he'd have played a part at some point this season too. Like you say there were threads with alot of people saying fair well to Pritchard too and I have the feeling of a club came in to pay him the club would've been happy to offload him yet here we are he's been one of our best players again. Why sell any? What are you trying to say?
They wanted to ditch Pritchard too who has been outstanding for us so far this season and the squad would be weaker without him.
Too many sheep all of a sudden saying Batth wasn’t good enough for us this season which is ridiculous.
I like him more as a bloke than I do as a player. Back in the one sub days he’d have been an excellent 12th man. A poor man’s Paul Madeley if you like.Despite all the successes of the recruitment the last 2 seasons, Luke O’Nien is the best signing we’ve made since we were relegated from the PL IMO. Developed into a proper leader, great understanding and reading of the game and a good range of passing. Completely unrecognisable from the young lad who was hauled off at half time against Charlton.
He’s got a big future on TV when he retires as well, I fully expect him to be one of the main Sky Sports EFL pundits. Was excellent after the game while waiting for Clarke to collect his MOTM award.
I’m saying that the squad is absolutely massive and a team that normally plays 4 at the back can not carry 6 centre half’s. Not just for us as a club but for them as players. It just isn’t practicalWhy sell any? What are you trying to say?

Would he have been happy sitting on the bench is probably a better question to ask rather than selling someone else. He was a very good player for us, maybe they've timed it right and this season he drops off - I don't think he's kicked a ball for Norwich so maybe they did get it right. Why sell any? We'll see come the end of the season for me, no good saying we don't miss him on a good run because it can quite easily become a poor run and all of sudden people then claim we miss him.
Yeah it looks like he has zero minutes for them. He’s literally sat on the bench EVERY game for Norwich since he signed - hasn’t even kicked a ball for them yet I don’t think?
No chance of him moving down southI like him more as a bloke than I do as a player. Back in the one sub days he’d have been an excellent 12th man. A poor man’s Paul Madeley if you like.
He looks a natural public speaker and comfortable with a mic in his hand. When he moves back down south I’d imagine he won’t be based far from skys HQ somewhere NW of London and there’s a lot of FL games to be Co-commend or punditted on. That’s if he’s not daft enough to fancy managing/coaching.
This is exactly the reason why Mowbray said he wouldn't play much. Credit to Mowbray for being honest to our player of the season. I wish Batth nothing but the best but it was the right decision for us.Have you not seen onien surging up the field creating overloads and starting attacks off?
Mowbray doesn't want 2 centre backs to just sit next to each other
posts 263 and 275Did you state this anywhere last season? Please direct me to it or are you one of the sheep dissing Batth for no genuine reason, he did well for us and we should have kept him. If Ballard gets injured we may have a problem. He was also a model pro around the club.
We got a good innings out of him but he had to go unfortunately as he simply cant do what 09 and DB do with the ball.
Onien is better on the ball than him there’s absolutely no doubt about it, Batth couldnt drive into midfield like he does not saying that makes Batth a bad player just not his game.I honestly don’t know where this come from. He’s no worse with the ball than O’Nien is. He had absolutely no detrimental impact on the football we played last season. None whatsoever
